People who use SXOS usually do it because there's no other choice. Until now, you could not hack a patched switch without their SX modchips. I doubt very many people actually use SX products because they like the company.
i do it because it is the superior product
and offers external USB a support and xci support

It's FPGA so no chance getting it cheap.
i thought only the pro version was FPGA

I love how everyone on atmo bashed TX and cried about paying $20 for a chip or a dongle
plus $40 for a license , and now that clones are out that only run atmo I barely hear any complaining even though they cost like almost 4 times the price.

So much complaining over TX charging money and now there are crickets when being asked to pay 4x the price for an inferior product.

is there any yuotube video of the clone working ?
no more YouTube videos due to the COVID induced nail polish shortage :tpi:

FGPAs are dirt cheap. The one used in the original modchip is something like 3 dollars.
So I estimate the production cost of the modchip somewhere around $15~$20.
But as a real bad Pirate, why would you sell them at $25 if everyone is willing to page +$100 for them?

which only support the atmosphere,
*Brings popcorn and waits for the TX trolls to pointing out that 'the TX modchip is superior because it could do XCI loading' .

I am going to bet these will do SX OS eventually if not right away
the TX modchip FW was dumped a long time ago
what is there really preventing them from being flashed with the TX modchip FW instead of spacecraft NX? Especially since they have an FPGA , and what is the difference between the regular and the pro ,
my guess is that the pro will be capable of running either FW while the regular model will only be capable of running spacecraft, due to to some hardware limitation.

The original SX Core doesn't have that FPGA chip ( it has another FPGA, but not the one in that place that makes the difference between Regular and Pro in these clones ).

The sx core and sx lite have the same FPGA, it's a Lattice ICE40LP1K-CM49, a small 3mm / 3mm fpga
On the picture it is located above the nand connector.

The bitstream (firmware) of this FPGA can be programmed in the case of the SX core / lite at the factory or even by Lattice (on request) on the NVCM (Non Volatile Configuration Memory).
Can only be programmed once by this method and is read-protected.

You will find some new photos of the chip installed with the Spacecraft-NX firmware here:

Ok, thanks. But the thing is, as I said, the place where the Pro version of the clone adds a new chip, that FPGA, that place is empty in the original SX Core.

I wondered that too like 2 weeks ago when I got similar emails
but unless there is something really sneaky going on
(like when you want to buy a trafficked Haitian baby from the Clinton foundation through Wayfair you just order the $90,000 jean Baptiste "throw pillow" )
then I don't think it does

I have been in correspondence via email with them ,I asked about it
and they said they have items to test and that all i had to do is buy on Amazon and they would reimburse me if I gave 5 stars and wrote good reviews
they sent me an email with like 27 photos in it and it was basically wish tier junk
nothing i was really interested in mostly novelty type items a lot of baby items like a few p4 accessories but i am not even really sure what they are ,nothing great though
unless you want a bedazzled tissue box that clips on your vanity mirror LOL

honestly I did like the rope basket and was considering it but

too bad they do not send you the money 1st and then you buy it and make the review
I got some true wireless buds delivered to me by mistake from Amazon in October, and I filled out the warranty
a few weeks ago the company emails me and asks if I want a different model of buds for free and they ask me to give them my PP so they can advance the money, so I did and they sent me the money
I heard a lot about these rating scams before ,I think there are sites that you go on to put your name on a list or something.
I remember seeing one story about a lady whos whole house was full of free shit ,she got addicted to doing it and her husband was fed up and going to divorce her.

Anyways the buds are pretty nice and they even have a low latency gaming mode too
they do kinda give me ear fatigue and hurt after awhile but maybe I have the wrong tips on them

anyways free buds , I only paid like $1.50 which was like 50 cents less than the tax on them

I hope I get more offers

A really good engineer could have just build a clone of the firmware (as there are some papers already out there about voltage glitching the PS Vita) but since they seem to be using the exact same components, I presume that the factory making the first TX boards just had the firmware stored somewhere. then it's pretty easy to make another batch.
Another possibility could have been that the bitstream was not read protected.
Making it read protected also prevents you from updating it afaik.

Files to make the chip yourself are available for sale as of today but I can't find any links to buy it:

When they mean tx modchip not cracked. Do they mean sx os ? Or the software embedded in the chip ? I'm guessing the later?

I am pretty sure they mean the software inside of the chip. 95% sure

I'm not very sure if flashing Spacecraft NC will do the job or you have to do more things and program the chip with their software. [emoji2369]
