Just double checking before I update, does indexiine still work on 5.5.5U? I think its almost the same payload as the browser exploit, so I would think it would.

Second question... Is there any REASON to update to 5.5.5 from 5.5.1, other than "stability" and blocking exploits?
Can you tell me how to downgrade the firmware from 5.5.5 to 5.5.1 because I got a console ban and I wanna unban me.

downgrading would probably require modifying the version.bin, but high brick risk. I'm not sure if anyone has done it successfully. btw, I thought the way to unban yourself was to change the serial number in I think the sys_prod.xml. could be wrong though.

Did you ever go through with this? And if so, did haxchi still work after updating?
I did, and everything works great. I just don't have CHBH or whatever it's called setup. I manually boot haxchi after startup. No brick risk that way.

recommended by who? and to whom?
CBHC has been around an awful long time now and works flawlessly
If you're happy with CBHC then you don't have to make the change. Tiramisu is marginally safer though in that you can never delete the title that the coldboot is saved to (Health and Safety), however this has never seemed a big deal to me honestly, turn on parental controls on just file management, and you're protected from anyone accidentally deleteting your CBHC title or moving it to your USB drive, or formatting the system for that matter. And for noobs that haven't yet hacked their Wii U, they don't have to spend $5 or whatever on a DS VC game.

But hey, if you want the return of the quickboot menu on your GamePad when you turn on the Wii U, then you can only do that right now with TIramisu. And if you're interested in later joining the Aroma environment for the Wii U, which will bring bigger changes for the hacked system, then it is recommended to move to Tiramisu, as it sets up your Wii U to quickly launch to the new environment instead of Tiramisu when it launches later.

Hi everyone, after a couple months I turned on my wii u to play some games. However I needed to connect it to wifi again and completely forgot to put the DNSs to prevent it from updating. For that reason, my Wii U updated to firmware 5.5.5 E. After that, some games stop working and I can't access the homebrew launcher as well. However, games that are not on virtual console and doesn't have DLC still work.
These are the messages for the non-working games:
"There is an error in the add-on content data. Go to Data Management in System Settings to delete the add-on content"
"This cannot be used. The nintendo network ID used to purchase the software has been deleted"
"Error Code: 199-9999"
IMPORTANT:
I noticed that the CBHC booting screen, that shows up right after turning on the console, stopped showing up and the firmware isn't 99.99 on system settings anymore.
It's a difficult situation, because CBHC doesn't seem to be working but some of the games still work. As I am not sure if CBHC is still working, I am afraid to factory reset my console (to hack it again) and get a bricked console. Besides that, I can't access the homebrew launcher.
I am really lost right now
I NEED HELP!

You're supposed to uninstall CBHC before updating a Wii U and reinstall CBHC right after. Just reinstall CBHC you'll be fine.
