Homebrew Need help streaming N3DS to Mac

I updated my mac last month to newest version which is Big Sur version 11.2.3 and it’s cool and all but I tried using NiTRoMac on the mac and every time I connect it, it says it successfully works but my 3ds screen doesn’t pop on the mac but instead a white screen shows up where both the top and bottom screen show up but it still shows the quality thing a such but the big issue is the white screen if you need proof of it you answer back and I will send them.

Hey does anyone know how to fix this problem with NiTRoMac where you do everything correctly but your screen shows up like the picture being shown. Btw I updated to the newest mac version 11.2.3 Big Sur and idk if that has caused this to happen so any feedback would be great. I put 2 different pictures to show that my N3ds works but the mac is having trouble.

I'm on the latest Mac version as well and wondering if that may have messed up IP connection to 3DS! I haven't gotten it to even connect to a blank screen though so you've had better luck than me!

@catmarvho unfortunately I still have the same problem with Nitromac and I have not been able to fix it from it being on a white screen like the previous pictures I posted. The bright side of things though are that I talked to my friend who is familiar with NTR and he suggested to me something similar to Nitromac which is called cuteNTR. I personally think it is better than Nitromac because it doesn’t really drop frames as bad as Nitromac but there is one slight problem. It does not put together both screens like Nitromac so when you are to put it on a layout for streaming the bottom part of each too and bottom screen would need to have a curve if you understand what I am saying I personally am going to make a new one to fit the needs of cuteNTR but here is an example of how it works. If you need the link to download this application you would need to hit me up in private messages because I am only a new member at the moment so I cannot post links. Hope this helps anyone using Nitromac and can’t get it to work. you need to download the dmg file of the latest version of 0.3.2 and like you did with Nitromac you will need to go to system preferences and to the security & privacy section to allow the app to be opened on your mac. After that your all set to start getting your 3ds screen on your mac device.

My issue seems to be IP related because my Mac can't detect my 3ds IP address in either software or FTP clients and I'm not sure how to fix that other than double checking it on FBI

Thanks! I did a little digging and found the GitHub page and downloaded it, but still having issues with connecting my Mac to my 3DS, sftp clients like boop or 3ds fbi link aren't working either anymore even after manually changing my IP address so I'm stuck

yo have you updated to the newest firmware for NTR and stuff. Send me a picture of how your 3ds screen looks when you first turn it on and make sure that you have the screen on ntr cfw logo

I've been trying to connect cuteNTR with my N3DS XL for a hour and still no results. I check cutentr.log every time when I try to connect with my 3ds and it always outputs:
[INFO] Starting connection
[CRIT] Connection failed!
[WARN] Not connected, can't send command

The 3DS can connect with my pc wirelessly without issue (eg. me using ftp-gmx and filezilla to transfer files between my SD card and PC, and it works perfectly) so I don't understand why it doesn't work

If you have a windows PC the best thing for you is probably to use is Snickerstream which is too tier from what I hear. I have also tried to use cuteNTR after doing a factory reset of my mac and when I try to download it the dowload is a bunch of files that don’t even have an application to open so it basically doesn’t work. Kind of wack but if anyone out there knows or has the file for the application please send it.

i have the same problem with the NEW M1 mac with my old Imac it Works perfekt but now at the new model i have no Connection. is there an update awaileble ?

I started using cuteNTR which is good. The only problem with it is that the bottom edges of both your top and bottom screen for your gameplay is curved so if you stream 3ds game you would beed to cover it up or have a layout that does it for you if you want the link to it let me know because finding it on google is difficult as I tried a bunch of times but I had a friend who got it for me

i have one mac problem i use the new M1 Imac and if i make a window capture i have the window borders in obs .. do i meen round eges ftom top and bottem sreen that looks bad :-( WHY ?

it is possible to stream Twilight ? could this has an other boot loader than 3ds

Usually I just crop the window border on obs with the crop filter and the bottom just shows up without a border. I will send a picture later of what I mean because I am not at home at the moment

CuteNTR is like all other NTR apps that stream your 3ds and can only do 3ds games. I am not sure if it can stream downloaded games such as Pokemon silver the original that you can download from the shop but if you have physical ds game it won't work. You can play rom hacks though like Pokemon glowing garnet on stream. Also in the pictures I sent you are the examples I was talking about regarding how the 3ds gameplay looks when using the application and on stream. The one image with only 1 3ds screen shows how it looks without a border that covers the edges. Also you need to crop the top part of the window that way it only shows the gameplay on OBS. Hello I can't get CuteNTR to work for some reason. My computers updated, but every time I hit stream the button is grayed out but the windows with the game doesn't show up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Wait. I got it. Got to fbi>SD>3ds>BootNTRSelector>then select “<current directory> , “delete” (NOT DELETE ALL CONTENTS), power off your 3ds, power back on, go to the NTR CFW application, press “Use Default” and press “Save Settings”, then select version 3.6. Reboot your console one last time just to be sure. Voilà!!!
