I mean, transporting a character to another part of the level is not rocket science. Quake used slipgates.
Using such a selling point kind of drives further that game development is stale.

I don't know... I'm having a hard time looking ahead to gaming as a source of originality.

Not the same thing as loading an entirely new level/map instantly. Not even my PC's SSDs are capable of that, though I know some are available that can get a little closer to it.

only thing i am interessted in is Ratchet and Clank (ok am a hardcore Ratchet fan) but i wont get that on launch..the price is rediculous ....for the standard version (no collectors or simmilar) they want fucking 79,99 Euros.....thats like 96 dollars..WTF

Because the last several games haven't been good; Insomniac has just lost all interest in this franchise. Tools of Destruction was quite buggy, and didn't have the same 'feel' as the PS2 titles in terms of controls and gameplay and writing. A Crack in Time wasn't as buggy, but it still felt like a R&C knock-off. The best of the PS3 games was Into the Nexus, but even then it's short and just unfulfilling.
Then there's the "reboot"...
Insomniac hasn't cared about Ratchet & Clank in over a decade and a half; I doubt they would suddenly return to form for this new game, that doesn't even star Ratchet as much as it should.

every ps5 game is now 80 euros btw the new price norm, its 70 in usa and 80 in europe same for xbox series s/x games, they went 10 euros up for games this gen.

The player count was still pretty healthy last time I checked. Like 30K I think through Steam alone. It's nowhere near as popular as it was last year, but it's certainly playable. It still has like 3x as many players as Town of Salem if not more even though that's a waaay better game.
