‘Just Die Already’ to launch on all platforms next month

Coming from Goat Simulator designer Armin Ibrisagic is Just Die Already, a game described as an "old people mayhem sandbox" where you'll willingly end up losing limbs, getting shot to pieces and more as you compete for a spot in a prized retirement home. Sounds totally like what old people will do in a post-apocalyptic world and you'll get to experience it this May 20th:

Just Die Already takes place in the near future at a time where population growth has stalled to zero, presumably because having to wear a mask at all times somewhat hinders any amorous encounters. As a result, nobody is being born, nobody is paying into the pension pot, and nobody is covering your living costs. To make things worse, you’ve just been kicked out of your retirement home, and your only option now is to perform dangerous challenges to qualify for free care.

Just Die Already launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on May 20th. It will support solo and fully cross-platform four-player online multiplayer modes.

I did end up playing Goat Simulator a while back. Had a nice art style and was mechanically OK but was ultimately a gimmick that wore thin quite quickly.
If this manages to hold interest a bit longer (some challenges worth doing perhaps, looks like there might be some proper co-op/competitive co-op fun involved).

Amusing premise as well. Did not expect to see it be a game quite yet though.

Also not half as amusing a trailer as the Dead Island parody, though gameplay is certainly appreciated.

What is amusing in a somewhat sad way is this will probably be the first vaguely mainstream BMX/bike tricks game in a while -- I thought skateboarding had it bad but then I went looking and what a PSP and Wii port of a PS1 game being the last one of any great note?

Weren't people talking mad shit about the first trailer for this game? I can't remember, but I think the trailer looked like shit so people got mad. Anyways, this might be enjoyable. I'm a fan of sandbox games. Played goat sim years ago but can't remember it well.

I found myself initially intrigued by the concept, but the trailer has me too bored to finish it. Another physics-based game you'll be able to get 5 hours in on your own, and 10 with friends, and completely forget about it after everything's been done.
