Here's the first one...

In case anyone wants to know how I create them (or, for me to remind myself how I did it when I re-read this in months to come!), here's what I do (and this may be long-winded, but hey it works!)...
I use Paint Shop Pro (PSP), but Photoshop has the same principles.
NOTE: I've taken the banner and icon templates from markehmus on the first page, and changed black to transparent and re-saved as PNG.
Banner
1. Run the game in Dolphin and grab a good screenshot without all the copyright stuff and the "press +" stuff.
2. Load the screenshot into PSP.
3. Crop it to 1280 width (make sure the height <= 720 - it usually is).
4. Change canvas size to 1280 x 720.
5. Paste the banner (also 1280 x 720) as a new layer. The background will show through but not yet the right size.
6. Resize the background (using the pick tool in Scale mode) until it looks nice through the hole. Scale it and move it up / down as well until it looks OK (I tend to maintain the same aspect ratio, but YMMV.)
7. EXPORT (don't save) via the PNG optimizer: 24 bit colour, no transparency.
8. Double click the exported file to make sure it is OK.
Icon
1. Copy an image of the front cover from the Internet (if there is a DS version, I use that because it doesn't have the "Wii" splodge top right so it gives you more to work with).
2. Crop it to remove the rubbish.
3. Set the crop tool to 128 x 94 and maintain aspect ratio.
4. Enlarge the crop and crop the image to make it look OK.
5. Resize the image to 128 x 94.
6. Open the icon template.
7. Paste the cropped icon over the top.
8. Move it down so it fits neatly in the grey bars.
9. EXPORT (don't save) via the PNG optimizer: 24 bit colour, no transparency.
10. Double click the exported file to make sure it is OK.
Make sure the files have sensible names before uploading.
Done - takes about 5 minutes.

Please don't laugh.... it is a fun game and a remake of an arcade classic!!!!

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better. -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
