Mods are basically LayeredFS. If you use that, a ban wave will hit you. So don't cry about that.
The only thing you can do and get away with it eventually is altering your save (of course while you're offline).

i fail to understand why random posters come here to police you about moral things about not to cheat online, can you all chill and answer the OP topic, if you have something to contribute then write, you dont get money from increasing your Post count with useless posts

Because people (understandably) get angry about their game getting ruined/unbalanced by cheaters.
I fail to understand what is so hard to grasp about that concept
Bought? you mean that "service" someone provides by logging in to your account, modifying your save and uploads it again?
I can see so many issues with that already... for example uploading a modified save...

yes its exactly just that, there was a guy who owns NScheats.com
he mods saves for 50$ to 75$
he was the guy who had 100% all items save and god charms on day ONE of release, he took his site down deleted his Twitter and Discord
now another guy is selling modded saves to users, and those reports are coming from people who purchased modded saves to be injected to the cloud
the 100% save file already has paid layered armor, plus abnormal numbers for items that the game wasn't designed to give for users
no further reports from random players who modded their own game saves yet
there really isn't big news considering that nobody in the world would have x9999 Purple Dragon Orbs or X999 Elder dragon bones that's just asking to be banned
note: Purple Dragon Orbs have very low drop rate and take insane amount of time to farm, an average user would have 10 to 30 of them

First I dont charge so much unless u wanna get eveything i do. Second, i took down my site and twitter because i needed a break, and ppl in China are constantly bombarding my twitter asking me to share my MHR save editor, I even receive death threats. So i delete my twitter. Never understood its value anyway as im not a social magnet.
Those recent bans are from those who manipulated / or requested others to manipulate a 100% guild card, all weapons save. Its a china/asia v100 save that was modded wrongly when i reviewed it with my editor. Very much like the white helmet thing u guys had here, but its alot worst as it sits in the save data permanently. Thus i dont provide such. My mods and edits of all my games are based off legit datamine. I actually play the game till it reaches that stage and reverse datamine from there. Its also a given to never mod progression unlock stuff of a game earlier than expected. Bad things happen. And as a hunter myself, guild card is suppose to be your own progression, why mod it?
Reason i was able to provide mod services from day 1 of launch, is because someone desperate enough for my services stealth shipped me a copy of standard edition early march. I actually already started playing and datamining 7 March before anyone else (less reviewers). A week later when i did my first charm table, i shared my progress with a friend who then screenshared with others, ended up with Asterisk, and blah blah blah the charm table mayhem before the game launched.
My last note of advice here to everyone.. Becareful of 12.0.1 + CFW. I spent over 3 hrs unbanning my brother's CFW switch last evening. Used to only take 1 hr or less. Good study. but not sure repeatable or sustainable. Nintendo is smart.

Can you define unbanning ?
If you're talking about console ban for use of CFW / pirated games, it is considered unfixable in the current state of affairs
Error 2124-4517 when going online. Then after 3 hrs of recovery work, works online now. And advised my bro to not use CFW anymore on his switch for next few months. Hopefully he listens. I am not an expert of unbanning switches. I merely trial and error. This is the 2nd time i did it. First was few months ago when it was firmware 9.X something. Cant recall the error message.
So you single handedly solved the banning issue whereas all the experts (Sciresm & friends) are unanimous that bans are non fixeable. I guess you have a good business to open if you can unban other people's switches, you'll make much more money than with MHR save editing.
If you want to share your "recovery work" secrets, we'll be very interested !

I had to look at my ban error code from SSBU so it is definitely same error code.

I can tell - it is in game ban, coupled with certificate ban or account specific ban for this game only.
If anyone want go back online so they need new console, new game cartridge or new account.
1) If new console and existing cartridge doesn't work, try to create a new account and resub to monthly NSO member.
2) If new account doesn't fix the problem, you have to buy new cartridge so it will be $60.
I have no plan to go back to play SSBU online, anyway.

New Account + new N ID sub + New MHR Digital Purchase will solve it
they could have banned the console serial from running the game, further testing needed
I dont think i solved anything. Apparently there are way too many ban classifications out there, and i have too little data point(s). I also need to have the physical switch with me before i can try fixing it. Not a viable service model. I pride myself as a slightly above average game modder and dataminer, definitely not a switch console expert.
FYI my brother's switch did not contain MHR. He was playing other games like minecraft dungeons and pokemon, and he runs around with cfw to edit minecraft builts and mons. So his ban trigger was definitely different from what MHR players are encountering now.
If your only contribution to the thread is saying that you wish other forum members get banned, you can keep it to yourself - we don't need a flame war over the moral implications of cheating. Don't wish ill on others, keep things civil. If you don't have anything to add in regards to the likelyhood of getting banned when cheating in MH:R, this is probably not a thread for you.

thanks for the swift reply, i saw those guild card edit cheats with absurd amount of hunts, kills, weapon duration, i dont understand why anyone wants to edit these info, they can be viewed by anyone online
only people who never played Monster Hunter games before do this
