Psychonauts 2 confirmed to release sometime before the end of this year

Rivalling Cyberpunk 2077 for sheer amount of delays is Psychonauts 2, which was revealed in 2015, given a 2018 release window following its crowdfunding campaign, got pushed back to 2019, then 2020, and most recently, 2021. That, however, may be the last of the delays, as developer Double Fine appears to be confident in a locked-in release window of sometime this year. We're currently more than a quarter into 2021, and while the company says Psychonauts 2 is set for this year, it isn't quite yet time for the team to give a finalized launch date. When the game does launch, it'll be available on PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Previous experience has shown that Tim Schafer does his best work when you chain him to a desk and have a trained monkey with a cattle prod shock him every time he suggests a new feature, otherwise he gets carried away.

Uh oh, I'm getting a sense of deja vu...

Fuck, I think that is exactly what I need when I work on projects to avoid getting carried away and take nearly 10x longer adding unnecessary details.

Nah they still have the monkey, he just became immune to the shocking.....although the weird groans heard from his office may suggest something else.

Loved the original game.
Actually have it both physically and digitally for PC but only tried the game a few years after having it.

Shame that I dont see a switch release, would be perfect for lunch breaks.

I really gotta play this game again. My dad gifted me this game on Steam a few years ago and I loved it but I kinda stopped playing. Freaking excellent game though.
