Is there a problem with Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island that isn't written down on the Compatibility List and that I should be aware of.

I just got around to trying to play this Game but after the initial TWiLight Menu++ Save File creation, all I've been getting is white on both screens of my New 3DS XL USA. I have the latest version of TWiLight Menu++ installed and am using a Samsung EVO 128GB MicroSD.

There shouldn't be a problem with the NDS ROM I have since I attained it before AP Patching was made part of TWiLight Menu++ so this ROM was already checked with the AP Patcher, but I don't mind finding another source if that is indeed the problem.

So before I jump to that conclusion, I'd appreciate any clarification I can get.
Thank you beforehand.
Card read DMA (while supposed to increase game compatibility) causes some games to not boot. Try turning it off.

Unfortunately, this did not work for me.
That said, I have kept the Card Read DMA Setting off, to err on the side of caution, and tried TWiLight Menu++ on these other Games with no problems:
  • Etrian Odyssey
  • Game & Watch Collection 2
  • Pokemon HeartGold
I was also testing to see whether my MicroSD was to blame, but since all of these were running and that your recommendation did not work, I figure it's probably an error on my end and I'll just try to find another version of the ROM, unless of course there is something else you can recommend to me for the Settings.

If not, thank you again and hopefully I can update with better news in the future.

Thank you very much for your answer :)
But What do you mean by no brand ? Its a Original Samsung EVO PLUS 256GB Card. Formatted it to FAT32 with a Clustersize from 32 :/
By that, I meant no brand like Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston, etc.
Since that isn't the issue though, try a smaller SD card.

Hello! :) I have 3 questions:
  • What does the Memory Pit exploit allow me to do on my DSi without modifying the NAND? I want a 0.000% risk of bricking.
  • (related to first) Can DSiWare be run without NAND modification?
  • (related to first) Can DS ROMs be run without NAND modification?
I don't want to bother anyone by asking age-old questions, but a lot of Q&A's I've found (over hours of searching) are either out of date, aren't very clear, or I just can't find them.

I ask because I just got a mint condition DSi, and don't want to modify the system in any way. I'm interested only in hacks that disappear upon powering down, and are not dangerous in any way (RAM/CPU-based hacks?).

And if anyone is interested in answering a bonus question or two:
  • How many recorded cases of bricking have there been, and what were their causes? (installing/uninstalling Unlaunch, running TWiLight++, installing DSiWare via SD, vanilla DSi operation on OFW, etc)
  • If DSiWare cannot be run without NAND modification, what is the safest method to install/run it, and what is the cause of the involved risk?

v20.0.0

Includes nds-bootstrap: D⁽ⁱ⁾rectors' Cut!

What's new?
  • When attempting to launch DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware without Unlaunch, a message will be shown, saying to restart TWLMenu++ from Unlaunch.
  • If DS⁽ⁱ⁾ binaries aren't found in a DS⁽ⁱ⁾-Enhanced ROM dump when launching, you now have to option to proceed launching in DS mode without manually setting it.
  • Added `Game Region` setting to change the region of some DS⁽ⁱ⁾ titles.
  • (@Pk11 and various) DSi-based themes: Translations of the SD removed message have been added!
  • `Run in` setting is now hidden for games that cannot be launched in DS⁽ⁱ⁾ mode, if running via either DSiWareHax or CycloDS iEvolution.
  • Per-game settings and the cheat menu are now shown for DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware titles (if `DSiWare booter` is set to `nds-bootstrap`, or if running on a 3DS/2DS console).
Improvements
  • (@Pk11) AP-fix and widescreen files are now put into each pack file, speeding up installation/updating process and freeing up SD space!
    • NOTE: To actually free up SD card space, you'll need to delete the `apfix` and `widescreen` folders in `sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/`.
  • (@Pk11 and various) Updated translations!
Bug fixes
  • DSi-based themes: `ds.nftr` fonts are now used in DSiWareHax to work around a crashing bug.
  • Combined horizontal and vertical icon flipping now works.

Just finished downloading the latest Update on my Laptop and installing it on the New 3DS XL.
Thank you again for the continual development of this Application.

I currently have 280+ NDS Titles on my MicroSD so it seems the perfect time to ask whether there is a limit as to how many I can get TWiLight Menu++ to scan and load before I grind things down to a halt.

Incidentally, I just finished watching the whole Virtual Gaming Library YouTube Playlist for the NDS and realised there are still many more Titles I have yet to enjoy and won't until I master my Japanese.

As such, an indication of limitations, if any, is greatly appreciated.

No idea what the actual limitation is.
Also, about Atelier Annie, it boots for me. If the latest version doesn't fix it, try replacing your ROM.

With Memory Pit, you can run DS ROMs, as well as all 5 of the DS⁽ⁱ⁾-Exclusive cart games, both without NAND modification.
Also, the only way to run DS⁽ⁱ⁾Ware (as well as DS⁽ⁱ⁾-Enhanced ROMs in DS⁽ⁱ⁾ mode), is by installing Unlaunch, which of course, requires NAND modification.

v20.0.1 (hotfix)

Improvement
  • (@Pk11 and various) Updated translations.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug introduced by reading AP-fix and/or widescreen files from packs, where nds-bootstrap wouldn't be able to boot games from flashcards, if those files are found.
  • (@Pk11) The "Can't launch" text is now automatically vertically centered.
  • (@Pk11) Fixed some minor crashes.

Flashcards supported with direct access, if running on the console's SD card:
  • Acekard 2i (Games cannot be booted)
  • R4 Ultra (regular, not R4i) (r4ultra.com)
Hello.
I noticed in your outer projects that those two cards can use special features.
But here the Acekard got that note added "Games cannot be booted". What does that mean? That the cart can only be used as storage, while you can start games directly with the R4 Ultra?
