Ready for an update? Nintendo has just pushed out a new firmware for the Switch, bringing the system's software version up to 12.0.1. Per usual, "officially", this is just a stability update, so keep an eye out and wait to see what's really under the hood before you update your Switch, if you care about homebrew.

Ver. 12.0.1 (Released April 19, 2021)
General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.

In all honestly.. I'd be perfectly happy if the stability jokes became punishable offenses. They are repetitive, un-funny and just clutter up threads instead of letting someone actually find out what an update does.

This right here. There's been so many stability jokes over the years, they just are NOT funny. Whatsoever. In any way, shape, or forum. They're actually just flat out stupid at this point. Anyone who posts them & thinks you're being smart/funny... you're not. Including those who try to get around the fact they're making a stability joke with the "Insert stability joke here" comments.

The stability jokes aren't amusing, but know what is? If none of the stability updates ever happened, the same people would be crying about how shit is never fixed and that they keep adding features instead of working on what's already broken.

I didn't see any support for it updating my OFW console to 12.0.0, and don't expect to see it when I update to this version. Or ever. I don't expect to see it ever, because Nintendo's pretty much given up on rounding out the Switch experience it seems.

Yeah but now that the foundation is there, could it be implemented via atmosphere?

Good thing I don't have any say in that. :D

That would be really nice to make that kind of thread a bit more reliable.
Maybe we would be able to see what the update it cause between shitload of unfunny stuffs that is always there,
the update content has been said.

Funny how that quote is always relevant
