Hello,

Recently my friends bought me an InnoAura third party switchdock.
It states that it needs a power input of 5volt 2amp via usb-c.
Currently i only have official apple usb-chargers.
They're 5volt 1amp.

Would this much of a problem if i kept using that? (it does work so far)
Also i can't really seem to find a proper usb charger for 5v 2a.

I don't want any damage done to the switch by using a faulty powersupply.

Thanks for reading ^^

That doesn't seem right. 5V@2A isn't enough to power both the dock and the Switch and charge at the same time. It doesn't mention 15V at all?

【Play While Charging】- Our Switch dock only needs very low energy consumption and supports USB and Type-C interface. If you want to play and charge at the same time, you need a 15V 2.6A power adapter, the original switch charger is recommended. 5V/2A Type-C adapter only supports charging the console. The USB 3.0 data interface function is the same as the original base, and only supports special production equipment for Switch.

I might've misread.

It's weird to me that it works with a normal apple usb-charger though (not charging alone, also tv output)

It's probably draining power from the console. I've noticed my Switch powers the official dock at least partially when the charger isn't plugged in, no TV out though because the TV out on the official dock can only be powered by 15V. But there are some 3rd party docks that can work off of 5V. But it might be bad for the Switch as it's not designed to power the dock like that.

Ordered an official switch charger to be on the safe side of all things.
Thanks for the fast and clear replies!

The croissant crust is still available though, but not quite as good imo.
