Hi, I have been having this error for a long while while playing games from the sdcard.

I sent the Old 3ds XL to be hacked around 2 years ago, or so, and I had this problem persistently in some games. On others it doesn't happen as often, like in twilightemulator I have 0 problems, never had any crash, with cartridge games I haven't had any problems either.

So I'm at a lost to what to do now, I've updated Luma, b9s and the 3ds software to the latest version, and everything works fine, just that error keeps popping up sometimes after 3 or 4 hours of gameplay, and other times just after 10 minutes, I've also observed how, sometimes, it depends in if I press a little bit hard the buttons around the area of the start button, or the area around the sdcard, which led me to believe it has some sort of chip loose or something.

I also just remembered I accidentally dropped it a long time ago, like 3 or 4 years ago.

I've done what other threads have recommended, the quadruple format (or something along the lines), and the sdcard has no problem, so I don't know what else to do. I'm thinking of sending my 3ds to a local store to be repaired (the same that installed the cfw in the first place), but if I can repair it myself, I very much would prefer to as I'm short on money.

Any help, please?

Did you follow this? https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows)
Have you tried using a different SD card? There's a possibility that your SD card is having issues even if testing it doesn't show any errors.

This is "File not found", probably from the game's romfs. Seems the game is having trouble reading the sd card.
Did you buy this sd card really cheap off of ebay by any chance (like high capacity card for too good to be true price)?

Maybe reading this thread and trying the solution could help you.

Yes, I followed that guide, and I don't think I have any other sd card around, I bought it from a store in a local mall, 16gb, C16G CHINA 1740PY8976 Kingston SDC4/16GB 124

I've read that thread before, and that is one of the reasons I think it may be something related to a loose chip, but I have no experience dismantling a 3ds, so I'm a little taken aback. Things aside, I prefer looking for a software solution before messing with the hardware or sending it to be repaired (or doing the repair myself)

I strongly recommend trying a different SD card first, bad SD cards are a common problem. If you can't buy one right now, you could borrow one from another device by copying the files off it onto a computer.

I can tell you that it's unlikely that this is a 3ds hardware issue - it's probably an sd card issue. Did you try redownloading the game from the eshop? That can fix corruption if it's not an issue with your sd.

As far as sd issues go, it's likely one of two things. It's a fake sized card that lies to the hardware OS about its size, then overwrites data when it exceeds its real (i.e. smaller) capacity, causing file corruption. The other possibility is the card is simply dying from too may bad sectors.

Whatever you think the problem is, Don't try and repair the console, this will likely make things worse for you.

I truly don't have another sd card with enough capacity to hold all the data I have in the 3ds's sdcard :/, I tried with another one of 4 gb, but 2 folders were too big to fit in, so I tried without those 2 folders (inside of Titles, I assume those are MH4 and MHS, so I thought not including them would be okay) but It crashed, and popped up the ErrDis the card has been pulled out.

I think I bought the sdcard from a reliable source, is there any way to check both of those options? I've checked already with the tool that IC_ linked, and everything seems to be ok

I'd like to clarify that there are games that I've never had a crash on, for example, Digimon World Re Digitize, (40 hours) and then the patched version (another 20 or so hours), I can't remember If I had a crash with perfect chronology, but I don't recall any, and all the twilight ds emulated games work perfect, 0 crashes, even though all of them come from the sd

EDIT: I managed to install MHS into the 4gb sdcard, it seems to work fine without crashes, I've checked sdcards and mine seems to be fake, as all the ones I've seen through internet don't have the same look as mine, though the sdcard passed the test of quadruple format (can't remember the name) with the programm. I don't know, I'm really confused haha :/

So, it worked fine for 3 days, and yesterday crashed, it went black, without any error, but I didn't pay much attention, then I played today 10 minutes and this error popped up. Any idea? :/

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.

i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
