I would have respected your opinion if you werent a person that just attacks other if they dont agree with your reasons.

It was mere a comparision on how it can take a away the fun of a game. Not only Mario kart, there are other games that are plagued by cheaters.

Monster Hunter Rise is relative in its early life time, i see Nintendo taking measures to prevent this kind of stuff like they do with Splatoon.

Pc world is not the same as the Nintendo World. Pc you can cheat, do whatever you want without paying for online fees, Nintendo does charge a fee and they will not let this slip.

If you like to cheat then so be it for you, but not everyone thinks the same way as you, that is called respecting the opinion of others.

It will not surprise me in the near future that people will be banned due to the usage of cheats. Monster Hunter has sold pretty well, a large fanbase and they will take it seriously. I remember everyone thinking that they could cheat in Splatoon, same thing will Apply to Monster Hunter.

I just hope that you turn to be a kinder person, you are insulting for no apparently reason than just people disagreeing with you.
Maybe if you guys didn't came to this thread to say shit like "cheating is bad" I wouldn't sound as rude? Like no shit, I am aware cheating is bad. But I try to cheat responsibly by not abusing it. e.g I only use cheats that would only affect me and not other players. Something lowkey. I made this thread to know if it's okay to cheat in rise without getting banned. If actually people who got banned say so. Then I got my answers. I really don't need anyone guilt tripping in this thread.

bahahaha I cheated on every mh title in 3DS and same with GU on Switch. No ban! Cheating in MH isn't really a big deal as what you like to imagine. You never know, the squads you might make in this game may use some kind of cheat like unlimited item use and you will never know lmao. Don't worry, I despite cheating to to some extent, like 1 hit kill cheats or cheating in pvp games.
Again, you see an obvious cheater online, block or report if that makes you feel better. Obvious cheaters deserves to be banned, that's something we can agree with.

You still don't get it. I don't care what you do. I just think it's funny how angry and hypocritical you are. Thanks for all the cookies, though. Delicious.

A lot of spicy language going on in the thread - I suggest cutting that out, unless you're itching to be warned.

As far as the topic is concerned, I have no issues with messing around with a game and cheating for giggles as long as you're playing offline.

Online is a different story - in PvP, it gives players an unfair competitive advantage. You're replacing your lack of skill with code and you're de facto a loser. In PvE, you're doing the same thing, except in addition to having an unfair advantage you are also robbing other players of the thrill of a challenge. I fail to see the point in using cheats or modified save files in a game with a core premise of overcoming enemies that grossly overpower you - a fight between Godzilla and four small dudes is exciting, a fight between a small dude and four Godzillas is unfair and boring.

Cheating ruins lobbies. I won't tell anyone what to do or how to enjoy their games, just be aware that none of your accomplishments are worthy of note because you fixed the game from the start. You're not a good MH player, you didn't earn your victories. Anyone can edit in a monster loadout and have infinite stamina, but where's the fun in that? If you're not after ingredients to build better gear, why are you playing at all? If you're not strategising around your stamina drain, are you even playing the game? You're just mushing a button. Lame.

I will make a relevant exception - 60 FPS mods are totally fine in my opinion. You're not giving yourself any kind of a competitive advantage per se, you're just playing the game as it should've been out of the box.

I agree, I don't consider a 60fps mod cheating. It doesn't alter the gameplay in a way that alters the gameplay.
To me that's fine. But who knows when you get banned by Nintendo or Capcom, mostlikely you would get banned by Nintendo unless there's a plugin of some sort that completely deals with all the logs being sent to Nintendo.

You will get banned eventually. MH:R is a big title and Nintendo will not miss this chance to ban as many CFW users as possible.

Banning CFW users = PROFIT!

60FPS is definitely cheating. You are getting unfair advantage over other players by being able to react and read frames better. By your guy's standard, anything that is not part of the game = bad.

Going from 30fps in PS4 World to PC with over 100 fps on a 144hz display, my reaction went godly. I barely got hit and just went ultra instinct lol.

Cheating on single player to mess around and have fun is fine in my opinion. Just don't use cheats that affect other people online. If you wanna use a cheat that only affects you online like the 60 fps mod, that's fine but boosting your stats or whatever,(I don't play monster hunter) or getting items and affecting other people is just selfish and rude. It ruins other peoples experience when this shit happens.

What about if they couldn't tell I am cheating? Will that ruin it for them too?

wow look at you, the one mod I don’t consider cheating is the one thing you consider cheating and the one thing you want to do.

So do you think someone who buys a +200hz monitor to play CS-GO is a cheater because he has an unfair advantage over the people who only can play at 60 fps?

yes you get a small advantage in terms of response time in ms...
This “unfairness” I think has been accepted by most thx to the PC world.
Who cares if you play at 60 instead of 30...

I consider it changing a graphical setting. The gameplay stays the same

First of all i will tone down my language, apparently everyone is too sensitive today and even simple sarcasm can cause mental breakdowns here. so I love you okay? please don't get sick.

what if they could? Only you thought they couldn’t
Except they call out when they do. have you forgotten that I have played with a lot of popular players like the ones MH discord, people who actually knows about the technicality of the game and even speed runners. None of them called me out. In fact, I have a rich presence there. Because normally, if you cheat and get caught, you are insta banned in MH discord and you'll also be shamed. Despite cheating, I hide it very well. I don't abuse it like some very smart people.

So do you think someone who buys a +200hz monitor to play CS-GO is a cheater because he has an unfair advantage over the people who only can play at 60 fps?
Apples and oranges, CSGO supports high refresh rates from the start. You have the choice of buying a high refresh rate monitor while in Switch, it's locked at 30fps and there is no way to play at 60fps legally. Until the game allows 60fps in anyway, then it's cheating! according to guy's logic ofc. And no, 30fps is a night and day difference with 60fps. You must be a console<redacted> if you think that there's no difference between 30fps and 60fps. With smoothness, you get an advantage that isn't part of the game. That constitute to cheating according to you guys.

BTW Animal Crossing is a big title, even bigger than Rise since it's a first party title. And yeah, people cheat on the game so hard that they earn money off it. No reports of ban. I suggest to stop the fear mongering and only contribute to this thread if you have something to contribute to.

*Snip* AC's cheating is not the same as Rise which uses modified save file and messing around with sysNAND. AC was simply connecting CFW device with OFW device LOCALLY and give items. It was basically undetectable.

Mass bans happened for using modified saves on SMM2 and SSBU.

Have fun getting banned. It will happen eventually.

And whine more nobody cares about you.

Remember, it will be Capcom's decision to ban anyone, not Nintendo since MHR is third party game that made by Capcom.

However, Capcom could report to Nintendo if they believed that you illegally modify the Switch like some game companies did to Sony and Microsoft during PS3 and Xbox 360 era.

Be careful if you goes online.

You don't know anything about cheating with ACNH if you think that's the only way to cheat with ACNH. You just proved that you don't know anything so please be quiet. And no, I won't be banned that's why I am conducting this research so stay mad. There are so games that you can freely cheat and obviously I won't be sharing them publicly. Go do your own research.

Cheating outside of Nintendo games don't normally have anti-cheat online. Best to keep the cheating in Monster Hunter at a minimal. You ruin the whole game if you 1 shot the monster. I cheat in some games online but never received a ban
