Hi guys, I'm on CFW 12 AMS 0.19.1 and both homebrews GTA3 (ReinX) and FBA Neo emulator won't boot ("sodtware error") - can anyone help? The rest of my games (not homebrew) seem to boot fine!
Autorcm is safe. I personally always use it, much easier than carrying around a jig. You should have a backup whether you use autorcm or not.
Forwarders made via nro2nsp are broken on the latest fw/atmosphere, thats probably the cause
What's the most common cause for black screen after selecting Launch -> CFW (emuMMC) in Hekate?

Excuse my noob-ness, but I'm on atmos 19.1 and OFW 11.0.1,.. when exactly is it safe to let the OFW update to 12? is this something I need to remove my sd card first to do?

Did you partition the SD card yourself or use Hekate?
The latest "patches" isn't a specific enough excuse that you have a working set of patches because not only are there multiple places to download them from with very few actually having updated patches but most people are not aware that there are 2 sets of patches. The problem is your patches therefore in order to troubleshoot your issue, it is always imperative that you disclose where you found the patches and how you boot into Atmosphere.
Do you have Wi-Fi settings enabled on your console?
Sorry, I downloaded the files from the /vg/ pastebin (am i allowed to post the link here?) and boot to atmosphere via hekate, basically followed the guides step by step so I'm not sure if there's something more specific I didn't mention
Downloading patches from 4chan is already a big red flag because you never know what the heck you're downloading from there. I'd recommend just deleting whatever it is you got from 4chan and starting fresh. If you want a reputable place to find patches, then look no further than this site as we have a pinned post with patches.

It's like this but I have the DNS settings changed for both wired and wireless internet connections.
I used the AIO Atmos Update app to download 12.0.0.zip,... Just dont know if it's ok to install it yet, lol
**AND I let Awoo update my sigpatches, not sure where they get theirs from but I haven't had any issues with games playing other than asking for updates that I can't help but assume they mean Switch updates to the OFW.

I have everything set up as far as atmosphere is concerned etc. CFW loads fine.
My question is how do I update the game? I have a game cart for ACNH, but I'm afraid to go online and update the game.
What are the safe methods to update the game so that I will be able to create and access a treasure island?

I've used Hekate for this. The emuMMC (RAW) slider has a maximum option of 29 GB showing as "29 FULL". I thought the emuMMC was slightly higher than that.

If you keep a clean nand, either one you use with atmosphere or a separate one, then update via nintendo. Otherwise you'll need to find an nsp or nsz online to update with.
I believe the size discrepancy is due to storage media and operating systems disagreeing on what a gigabyte is. Operating systems read sizes as about 10% smaller than the 'real size' because they consider a gigabyte as 1024 megabytes, a megabyte as 1024 kilobytes, etc rather than 1000
Could be a few things. Is there a cloud icon by the game name? If so then you have the update but not the base game. Have you ever owned the game legit? It might be trying to access a cloud save or something. Also its possible that you are chainloading fusee primary via hekate, so the hekate es patches work but not fs. If that game that isnt working is an xci convert then that could explain it.
