I've just cleared the mines and have to say this is a terrible, terrible game so far. All you do is run around hitting things for Lego bricks to build something to run around hitting things for Lego bricks. Repeat.

This is the game everyone was hyping up? Really?

Its humour, graphics and charm are all A1 but the actual gameplay seems crap so far. Especially as its all so samey whereas GTA at least had some variety in the missions and none of this fetch the legos EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. crap.

Sadly thats basically how all lego games play. A lot of people like the simplicity of them(why I don't know lol)

I would guess this is your first lego game?

Yep. There were other things like how it expected you to know you should stand near certain legos to build them into something whilst others you just hit that made it seem like it was aimed at people who play their titles a lot but man this is some super basic, dude wheres my gameplay kind of stuff.

Its strange how there are so many 10/10 reviews as I really expected something as good as classic GTA but dressed up like Lego but this is just really, really basic and totally lacking in any form of entertainment.

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
