So, long story short (and told in another thread), but back in 2015 my best friend from back home gave me a modded Wii for Christmas. I've recently gotten it back out to try to understand a little more about how it works, as well as play a bunch of Wii stuff I haven't before.

Through some trial and error (as well as some helpfully-answered posts), I eventually figured out more about its mod configuration, and learned that it uses WAD Manager to install WADs.

Everything else (emulators, Configurable USB Loader, etc) works perfect, but I haven't worked up the courage to try and install any WADS on it yet, and I don't know if I'm just being overly anxious about nothing. I know there's some games that you just straight-up can't install to the System Menu without bricking your console, but am I at any real risk for running games that were always meant to be WADs like Mega Man 9, Strong Bad, etc? I've made a backup of my NAND using BootMii for safety's sake, but is there anything else I should know before I run off trying to use any WADs or am I just being a worrywart?

Yes but there are two emunand modes, the partial and neek. The partial run almost 90% games just create the emunand, install the games and in the loader (i prefer USB loader GX for this) enable the Partial emunand and the path and that's it.
On the Neek mode is running the emunand like it was the real wii, this is necesary for some games that cant run on partial mode (mostly N64), but first try the partial mode.

Good to know, thanks! The main post specifically mentioned one of the games I wanted to install as a WAD (Castlevania Rebirth) so I'm probably gonna wind up going through Neek eventually haha
