ROM Hack Question Is there any way to get the Magnamalo layered armor for MHR without using amiibo?

I've never used an amiibo before so I'm not sure how they work. Anyway I cannot find the MHR amiibo contents anywhere so I want to buy the amiibo and scan them myself. However, I have been banned. So I'm not sure if amiibo could work if I don't have network access. Can someone confirm this or me please, whether the MHR amiibo would require internet connection to be able to be downloaded like the regular DLCS?

Amiibo uses NFC so i think you can use it on your banned switch.
There is no current way to inject amiibos so you have to use the actual amiibo figures or dyi yourself any inject them into a NC125 card

i tried tagging magnamalo with an custom tag using tagmo but no luck still takes it as generic amiibo for lottery

just tried 1.1.2 and it didnt work to claim bonus either

good luck to figuring this out! im trying with emuiibo an no results yet. recognized for lottery but not for bonus content.

If you have a samsung phone, s10 or higher you can use the app Joycon Droid and emulate the ambii with it. pair your phone through the app to your switch and claim the layered amour

I ended up just buying an amiibo card, it's significantly cheaper than buying the actual amiibo. Just hope it will scan alright. Thanks for the help guys!

It doesn’t work anymore with the firmware 12.0

I'm on FW 11.0.1 and it worked so im guessing if your on 12.0 then it got patched?

using nfc tags (stickers) works on F/W 12.0 for me. layered armor bonuses too.

Hey, I'm trying this too with emuiibo. Recognises the MHR generated amiibos as "normal" amiibos so yes they work for lottery but you do not get the better lottery rewards or be able to claim the armour.
Also i'm on fw 12.0.1, so is this something that usually happens between fw versions and usually gets fixed?
Is there another way to hack the armour into the game with actually scanning an amiibo ?

I would also like to use for the daily lottery if this can be fixed if anyone finds a way. Would totally buy the Amiibo if I could actually find them.

Emuiibo never worked with MHR for claiming sinister seal layered armor

I ended up buying those amiibo cards off Ebay. Cost 10$ only and works perfectly.
