I couldn't wait to the play the demo so I purchased a Gold 12mo membership on XBL. Well worth it - i get to dl the demo earlier than Silver memberships and I get to check out its online play. This game is AWESOME! And yeah I agree with you VVoltz; this truly is next-gen.
The crashes do look truly stunning.
This game does have a few problems with it tho I found:
-Awkward camera (right analogue stick)
-Small text is pretty hard to read
-Mini map could have been better
-When you look back it does not show you the car bonnet so you can't check your ride out w/o using the annoying camera. I wish they just used a PGR3 style camera where you can rotate around the whole of the car in one rotation of the stick.

yes from thursday 13th dec (yesterday) strangely it's available in both regions the euro and usa store at the same time this is a first and has never happened before.

Yes, you have to have a paid subscription to go online with anything on XBL.
Thats the only thing that pisses me off about Live. I see the Wii and PS3 fans enjoying their FREE online gaming while I have to give M$ ANOTHER $50 to subscribe. Another thing that puzzles me is that even though you PAY for Xbox Live, there are ads plastered EVERYWHERE when you log in. Seriously, if I'm paying for this shit, why is is still ad-sponsored. What are they doing with my hard earned cash????? If I ever see another Mountain Dew, or Doritos ad I swear I'm gonna puke!!!

I gave this demo a go the other night and I'm sorry but I don't see how it is "an evolution of the genre".
The graphics don't look that much better than Burnout Revenge, except for the deforming, but do I need to have the car deformation modelling shoved in my face everytime I crash...
I hate the free-roaming aspect, it is boring as all heck you just drive to get to another race when in the last game I could be instantly there...
Plus what is up with the whole 'stunt' mode I drove around and couldn't find squat to get points with...

I don't get any ads on XBL. And as for MC DUI, I completely disagree. Sorry but if you can't get 50,000 points you are not worthy.
Just do barrel rolls, flat spins and boost all the way! Combos are key here.

MC DUI, the free roam aspect was much better online with 3 friends. We had a blast setting up stunts and stuff.

DLed the demo too when it was released, PS3 though. To be honest, I wasnt that fond of it the first couple of hours, I liked the Revenge playing style way better. Getting the hang of it now. Online's cool too. Crashes are amazing, sometimes is has the camera wrong, but still, nice game.

i got it yesterday check my gt if you don't believe me, but anyway personally i think the whole street light thingy is a little messy and it just doesn't feel like burnout anymore it feels more like need for speed without customisation and the takedowns are way to easy just a little shunt is all you need. then again playing tag i really fun, basically there's 2 car chasing you and you have to get to a specific place in the city and if you crash about 4 times before you get there you lose
but there seems to be allot of game modes to play this time around so i haven't gotten around to testing all of them yet

I disagree about your whole 'plays like NFS' thing. They're two completely different games so why compare them? I strongly recommend you give criteriongames.com a visit and check up on the latest podcasts and blogs, to give your mind a good reboot.

err no im from norway im a game reviewer for the local news paper anyway what i meant was that the game it self was like nfs just the whole drive around instead of menus part which i never actually liked
