Do the process of elimination. Use a checklist.
[ ] SD formatted with FAT32?
[ ] Quadruple reformat the SD
[ ] Tried another SD? If old model 3DS: Use full sized SD instead of micro-SD and adapter.
[ ] Tried cleaning the reader?
The shutdown might have hardware reasons as well. But it would be an unlucky coincidence having that happening right after installing CFW.
I have no idea what else to tell you. If this doesn't solve the problem I'm out of ideas.

Nothing is free. The price you pay for using CFW is that you have to deal with user-supplied documentation and that you will run into problems that will require patience and care in order to solve. If you don't have any patience then maybe this is not for you.

Either your 3ds is broken however. Or your sd card in some way. I'm out of ideas. Format the card with guiformat (fat32, 32k cluster size) or buy a bigger one. Although...the size shouldn't matter. Fact is, installing cfw normally does not lead to shutting off the 3ds.

What do you want with the SafeB9SInstaller.bin? Delete that. You don't need it.

I could claw back 14tb by only doing 2 parity disks but I feel like with 13 disks in the RAID I'd be kind of pushing my luck on rebuild time if I encounter a disk failure
