I got this weird question while watching Saint Seya, undubbed with spanish subtitles.
In one scene, I read:
"I will bring the armor back to Japan" (Regresaré la armadura de vuelta a Japón)
But I know that Japan in japanese is not exactly that, but actually Nihon.
So, Japan's true name is Nihon, not Japan.
Of course I'm curious...

Does your country has a different name in it's official language?

Anyway the UK would have to first start with what the UK is


Anyway it is a fairly popular theme in Europe to have different names for places depending upon the histories of places involved, names of tribes, order in which things were discovered during empire days and relations at the time.

Or if you prefer, the Norse names Norðrvegr and Noregr. I quite like Norðrvegr :)
The English name Norway probably comes from Norðrvegr, only simplified.

    i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
