Never used SX OS. When I recieved my Switch Lite I did not even boot once to SX OS and when straight to Atmosphere 0.18 (at that time).

Been using SX OS since I got my Switch Lite, along with my OG Switch. All games run fine with Tinfoil's automatic fw bypass as does sys-clk and emulators. I see no reason to switch yet.

Running latest supported SXOS Beta + 11.0.0, does not support Ouja and Undermine, wants an Software update. Able to bypass that with Tinfoil or Sys-CLK ?

- Latest Tinfoil 11 NRO does not boot, seems to crash
- Where does I get Sys-CLK and how it works?

Cheers

Tinfoil.nro installs Tinfoil like a nsp.
Sys-clk is a module that allows you to over/under clock the cpu and/or the gpu

So no way to surpass FW requirements? Only done by updating to 11.0.1 for which no working SXOS CFW exists right now?

I#ve red, it's possible to install via Tinfoil, it will bypass the FW requirement, when I put my .NSP onto the USB-Stick, and fire my installed Tinfoil, it doesn't shows up the .NSP under the "File Browser" -> usbfs:/ is empty, regardles to the fact, SX OS shows all files correctly, but has the FW restrictions after install.

Can someone help?

You cannot bypass all firmware requirements. There are certain requirements pre-determined by the game such as the SDK it was built with.

I just switched to Atmosphere. I feel like it is worth it if you put in the work. I thought Atmosphere would lose USB HDD and XCI but Tinfoil can install XCI to SD from USB HDD just fine. Some more tips:
1. Backup saves with JKSV and back up the folder it makes on the SD card to your computer before doing anything.
2. Learn and acquire the required files to boot Atmosphere with your method of choice. There is an extra step if you use the SX Pro or Gear dongle.
3. Use Hekkate to make your partitions on SD card and create emuMMC
4.You might have to then update to 11.0.1 using ChoiDujourNX.
5. You can restore save files after launching a game for the first time using JKSV.

Don't use choidujourNX, its unsafe compared to daybreak (atmosphere's version of choidujourNX).

Use both. Personally im using 2 Emunands on 2 different SD cards, one for SXOS easy loading of old XCI games and one for Atmosphere in preparation for future games that will inevitably need new encryption keys to work. Keep sysnand clean for legit games online and u have the best of all worlds!

Exactly, there is absolutely no downsides to setting up Atmosphere as it easily retains the option of switching back to SX OS if hypothetically TX were to release another update.
I’m user of both also , but on 1 sd card, with 2 EmuMMC (shrinked). I hate to switch sd cards, except for Android/Linux

The closest thing to that we'll have (which is already possible), is to be able to install from a hdd. But it depends on what installer you use.
As far as I know, these installers are the only ones that can atm
Tinfoil
Tinleaf
Tinwoo
Goldleaf (goldleaf doesn't install nsz, im unsure bout xci)
I believe DBI supports USB drives now too. Not a widely known installer, mostly comes up in conversation about MTP transfer as it is apparently the best option for that these days.

Is Stargate NX still slow to boot and shutdown?
I guess you mean Spacecraft-NX, the open source firmware for SX modchips. Apparently it's slow on first boot, but near instant every time after that.

Super simple:
Code:
const StayWithSxOs = DoINeedUsbXciMounting;

Games needing a higher FW can be patched with many tools or is there any single game that doesn't work this way yet?
My emuMMC is still on 10.2.0 and can play anything.
