Hey
Whats the latest firmware that allows you to play free games on v1 and v2
After already owning the game
They want to know what is the latest firmware that makes possible to play pirate games...Could you clarify yourself a bit?
Even on redbox / lite units you wouldn't be able to hack them on fw 1.0.0-4.1.0 to enable piracy. All current methods of launching cfw use warmboot hax which expoits a bug baked in to the hardware (patched on redbox units). You could load homebrew via nspwn but that would need fw 3.0.0, which as you said can't run on redbox units.well lets assume that they are dumping their own games, v0 (moddable with jig) ANY FW
v1 (patched, but not redbox) 1.0.0-4.1.0
v2 (redbox/lite) 1.0.0-4.1.0, even thought i've never seen any redbox or lite with those fws
Mariko devices aren’t capable of running anything below 6.0.0 :shrek:well lets assume that they are dumping their own games, v0 (moddable with jig) ANY FW

There is no such thing as "v1" or "v2". There are Erista units, which come either patched or unpatched, and Mariko devices. Unpatched Erista units can be hacked regardless of firmware but patched Erista units have a firmware-specific softmod that only works up to firmware 4.1. Both Mariko and patched Erista units can be hacked via the SX Core modchip but that requires not only soldering but finding a reseller.Hey

Does this look like eBay to you? No? Okay then. Not even Nintendo uses that terminology. If someone were to use the term "red box" or something similar, then I can understand because the Mariko boxes are distinctively red. Furthermore, "Erista" and "Mariko" are not even the actual codenames of those respective consoles. The actual codenames aren't used for whatever reason but most likely due to the terms "Erista" and "Mariko" being more acceptable. What? You don't type "Erista switch" into ebay lol. You type in v1 or v2, and then the switches pop up. Not everyone knows the codenames for the switches.
