I recently installed a bad .nsp I got off of here and so I reformatted my sd and repeated the process to set up the emunand and that works but my normal nand won’t turn on anymore, the switch only turns on with the payload injector.
It seems to turn on anyway because the payload injector won’t work unless I hold down power for a while then put it in recovery mode.
I’m afraid I may have accidentally screwed up my regular nand during the restoring process or repeated a step that I didn’t need to repeat which may have screwed it up.
If I restore an old nand it would be an older version of the one I had so is there a chance I would be banned due to mismatched fuses if I restored the nand? Why did it just restore so that it only turns on with emunand? I’d appreciate any suggestions because I’m lost here and don’t want to screw up my emunand trying to fix the sysnand.

Are you familiar with autoRCM? This makes sure the system goes into recovery mode every time you turn it on. That would explain why you have to inject a payload every time. You can launch sysnand from whatever bootloader you're using, SX or hekate.

When I try to launch stock through Hekate it just does the same thing, goes to a blank screen until I hold down power and re-inject the payload.

Also I don’t think recovery mode is on, my payload injector automatically injects when recovery mode is on but it doesn’t do anything when I just press power on the switch.

If you use tegraRcmGUI, it will be easier to tell whether you're in recovery mode. Are you using the latest version of Hekate? What payload are you using to launch stock firmware? Maybe post the content of your .ini file.

I actually got the switch to boot into stock by changing the .ini to exactly what the developer said on Hekate’s github and it worked, but my stock firmware is on 9.1.0 so I only need to update my current firmware without going online. I’m thinking I could do it with Choidujornx or something but I’m not sure if it’s safe to launch atmosphere on sysnand.
I realized I’m just an idiot and I didn’t actually need to do the whole step of restoring the nand, I only needed to create the emummc in Hekate again.

No need to feel dumb, that's how we learn. I'm glad you got it working. As far as updating without going online, I can tell you that I've used ChoidujorNX to update my sysnand every time. That's the only time I use CFW on sysnand, and I make sure I'm in airplane mode before I do it. So far, I have not been banned after years of doing. You're mileage may very, so don't take it as a guarantee, but that's been my experience.

Some people say that it is safer to use Daybreak instead.
