Lord, this shows I'm out of ideas. Anyways which is better, GC or Wii.
I hated most of the shovelwareBoth had a bunch of good games but Wii had also a ton of shoveleware so I am taking points for it, so I would say GameCube
This is a choose one type off pollUnnecessary, senseless and useless Poll without being able to choose both Options....
I'd agree, however I don't want to judge backwards compatibility because those are 2 different systemsThis is a good question. There are a lot of bad Wii games. But there are some good ones, too.
In a lot of instances, Wii games use motion control in a way which makes the game less fun than it would be otherwise. But some games use it well: Grand Slam Tennis, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Mercury Meltdown Revolution, SSX Blur, Skyward Sword.
Some Wii games simply exceed what is available on Gamecube: Xenoblade, Last Story, Tatsunoko versus Capcom, 428 Fuusa Sareta Shibuya De, Muramasa, Rayman Origins, New Super Mario Brothers Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Densha de Go Shinkansen Ex.
And then the Gamecube has no lightun, but lightgun games work pretty well on the Wii: Sin and Punishment Star Successor, Dead Space Extraction, House of the Dead Overkill, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles, Ghost Squad.
Now, if we assume an alternate universe where we can't play Gamecube games on Wii, what would we really miss? A lot of good games had ports, or sequels for the Wii, so you wouldn't miss those that much. But the Wii doesn't have: Crazy Taxi, F-Zero GX, Ikaruga, Skies of Arcadia, Wind Waker, Tony Hawk 3, Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes, Phantasy Star Online, Tomb Raider Legend, Timesplitters 2, Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2.
Overall I think the Wii would win out, even without Gamecube compatibility. But I'm glad we can have both on the same system.
Read the post above youWii, simply because it's also a Gamecube.
