Hacking 2ds XL Black Screen with sound

I am having a strange issue where my 2ds XL seems to boot and work normally except that there is nothing on either screen. I can hear the home menu and can also hear that the dpad is working and I can launch a game and hear that it is playing, but there is nothing on the screens. I discovered that the screens do work though, so I am at a bit of a loss as to what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a list below of the steps I have already taken:

1. Open system up and disconnect wifi cable, both front and rear camera, and touchscreen connectors; home menu still black screens.
2. Recovery mode: screens work and I updated to latest firmware; home menu still black screens.
3. Used ntrboot to install boot9strap and Luma; home menu still black screen
4. Cleared home menu extdata on sd card and in GodMode9 ( 3ds.hacks troubleshooting#clear-home-menu-extdata); home menu still black screens.
5. Performed CTRTransfer (3ds.hacks ctrtransfer); home menu still black screens.
6. Performed CTRTransfer Type D9; home menu still black screens.

After all of this, the system still will go into GodMode or Luma just fine and still boots to the home screen with sound and control but no display. I am not really sure where to take it from here; I have seen references to Lazarus3DS but not sure if that will help or not. Could it still be some strange hardware issue even though the screens work in GodMode and Luma and recovery mode?

Don't use Lazarus, please!

And about your problem, have you tried with the battery trick? Also, you can try with another Luma versions (i.e. Nutez's one) or better try with CTRTransfer - Type D9

However, it seems because a hardware failure or something like that (but I'm personally not sure, after all):

Thanks for the response. I have tried the battery trick and CTRTransfer Type D9, just tried Nutez's Luma but still the same issue. If it is a harware issue, I'm sure it's the board as the screens work fine with another board in it. I am going to remove the board and give everything a clean with IPA and a toothbrush see if that does anything.
