I installed the AIO Switch Updater through the HBApp Store. When I launch it, I get an error message and I have no option but to go back into hekate. I'm currently on 11.0.1 / AMS M.18.1. Any ideas what could be the issue?

Well I'm not sure, what kind of error? Also do you have a lot of sysmodules installed?

Well, I had an issue with a game loading and it's been a while since I had done an update, so I decide to update both of my switches. The first Switch updated fine. I followed the same steps for the second unit and been having loading issues for the past 4 days no matter what I do. I downloaded the package bundled from SDSetup and I just copied the contents from the sd folder onto my card. I followed the steps as directed and I can load emuMMC fine. This is a fresh copy, so there's not a whole lot installed except for what was bundled. The issue is launching the AIO app that I download from the HBApp Store. It crashes and just gives me an error code...

delete the atmosphere + sept + bootloader folders and grab a clean atmosphere + hekate, that should fix it right up. The error is `Exited Abnormally (ExitReason == Abormal)` so it's not really telling me much. Chances are your issue with your game is the same issue with my app

Is there a reason for the sigpatches from AIO not being functional on the latest atmosphere? I had to get sigpatches on another source after updating.
They work fine? Sounds like a broken download for you or you downloaded the wrong package.

are you sure you rebooted after downloading them? Either that or you got the fusee sigpatches when using hekate. The ITotalJustice sigpatches work for everyone

Tbh I also had to download the sigpatches from ITotalJustice github manually
Games would work properly but some forwarders like homebrew menu and Tinfoil wouldn't run. Of course I tried to update atmosphere then hekate then sigpatches, then hekate before atmosphere, tried to update multiple ways. I'm running with fusee primary but I also tried to install hekate sigpatches, tried a lot of stuff but what did the trick was installing them manually

Everything but one game is working great over here, so I'm 99% certain it's the game's fault. Thanks a lot for writing this app, it's extremely convenient!

Sorry if this has already been answered but is it possible to put the newest hekate payload to
sd:\atmosphere\reboot_payload.bin
with this app?

This is one of the best homebrews of any out there...

I would like to suggest the option in the cheats section, of downloading and installing ALL cheats, whether the game is installed or not.

I mention this because it seems that if the game's id that you have installed differs from the cheat id for that game then it will NOT download the cheat and it will seem the game has not cheats.

However, if the cheat is downloaded and the game is the same but the id's don't match, edizon will actually tell you that you have cheats for the game, but the game id and or version id (the bid) are wrong and then you know that the game actually has cheats you just need to change the game's id and or bid in the cheat file and there's a good chance they will work.

But if the cheat is never downloaded then it will seem the game doesn't have any. So by giving the option to download ALL cheats, users can maybe download them once a week or once a month and then just use the "cheats update" option inbetween to update and or add any cheats for games already installed.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
