Flash was reciently killed by all browsers, which led me to discover "flashpoint" some sort of frontend that takes care of everything in order to make these games run (emulating the websites so the game's lock doesn't trigger and such), which got me thinking.. would it be possible to run those games on 3DS? or any other console for that matter? Is there interest in developing such thing?

I love the thought exercise. But porting a dead language to an end of life platform seems like a stretch even for some of the wizards here. That performance for flash was always spotty even on much more robust hardware makes it even more of a stretch.

porting a dead language (...) seems like a stretch
i totally get your point and i agree, but this got me thinking, isn't developing an emulator for a console like PSX or older ones kinda the same? as in... you're developing something to run the few hundreds or thousand games that were made for that console but no new content or developments for it will be made.
Maybe from ignorance i don't understand how flash is a bigger challenge than PSX, technically speaking. But conceptually, the only reason i see why people keep making or improving emulators for the latter is because there's demand and a big library of quality games.

It's not. A Shockwave (SWF) player could most definitely be made. No emulation would be required. The problem is that there really isn't a large amount of decent games that justify developing a player. And when it comes to emulators that have been brought to the 3DS, they all already had an established codebase that was ported over.
