Black and White 2 and UltraSun/UltraMoon were the last good games in my opinion. Sword and Shield were overhyped, and I really don't like the map and areas. There's so many places I tried going that were blocked off or just unreachable, for no real reason. And what's with the push lately to make the badguys into soft, squishmallow fruitcake pushovers lately? (Gen 8)
We haven't even had a good asshole rival since Gen 2.

I really don't want remakes. Especially D/P they were by far the worst in the series imo (before Sword and Shield, they were a travesty). I don't know what I want from this presentation. I don't want to see any Unite or Sleep or any mobile bull at all. I guess I've just stopped liking Pokemon which is a shame, this sounds like a massive downer of a post. I just know I won't like whatever they show. I hate the art direction and the general openness of the new games. I know they'll never make a pseudo 2D-3D top down game again. But that's what I want, I probably won't even watch it.

honestly I kinda hope that if we get gen 4 remakes, that they take features from SwSh
nonono hear me out before you put my head on a pike
SwSh was big oof, as we all know, but its QoL features were through the r-oof
constant access to the PC, nature mints, actually being able to kinda see IVs, the technical record system with max raids...
I could totally see gen 4 remakes where they basically take everything that SwSh did right and use it to spice up Sinnoh

Eh, personally I'd rather have a new game. Only if it includes the whole dex of course. Their latest game was cringe but who knows? I'll give them another chance, GameFreak has made some awesome games in the past.

I didn't even play it. I don't need to play it. I disliked like Sun and Moon, I barely played sun and moon 2. I played the let's go games for a bit and got bored quickly. and sword and shield, i ain't even going to play, because that dynamax shit is corny compared to megas
