Cyberpunk 2077's 1.2 patch delayed due to the cyber attack on CD Projekt Red

Just because the full game has released doesn't mean Cyberpunk 2077 can't still be delayed, in some form. This month, CD Projekt Red was supposed to release a version 1.2 patch for Cyberpunk 2077, which would offer major fixes for the game. The update is being delayed, however, as a result of the ransomware attack on the company that took place earlier this month. Patch 1.2 was set to go "beyond any of our previous updates", but the development team was unable to finish the extensive updates that the patch would entail after having to deal with the fallout of the cyber attack. CD Projekt Red has moved the scheduled release date for the next update to sometime in the second half of March.

That was expected after what happened with the breach. Hopefully, when its actually back, maybe all the bugs will be gone.

Already done with the story playthrough once. Wouldn't mind waiting a few more months for a different life path playthrough.

F'king boring and lackluster. Hackers did Projekt Red a favor by giving them an excuse.

Projkt Red was happy to oblige. Overcoming adversity? Nahhh. Let's aim for pity!

After all, bitcoin is expensive.

I actually think delays are warranted here not just a scapegoat

employees personal info leaked and their social security equivalent

they have bigger flames to extinguish than gamers’ disappointment which has been a sustained sentiment since launch
