HP to acquire HyperX for $425 million

HP announced today that it will acquire gaming peripheral brand HyperX from Kingston for $425 million. You might be familiar with HyperX as we have reviewed several of their accessories at GBAtemp.

However, the announcement clarifies that while the acquisition involves HyperX’s gaming peripherals portfolio, Kingston will retain "the DRAM, flash, and SSD products for gamers and enthusiasts". The deal is set to close in calendar Q2 2021.

Dell. By a mile.

FAST has a point, though. I should have clarified consumer computers. Both have decent support for businesses.

RIP the Hyperx Melee(Smash) x SFV(Street Fighter) post evo event show. that was a very fun and entertaining event to bring two different communities together.

i lost my old laptop TWICE to HP's shitty storage
