what makes it fun? what camera angle did you use? Should I add traffic? Is the track length too short or should I make it longer?
The controls feel nice, the driving is what makes it fun in my opinion, I used the first angle, you should add traffic, the track length is pretty good

So There are 2 kinds of traffic in these kinds of games;
1 - in the style of fzero/mariokart where all the cars start out at the beginning and you drive through them until you are at the head of the pack.
2 - Regular random motorist traffic that pops up as you drive down the track similar to RadRacer or RoadRash.

which would be best suited in this case? 1 or 2?

I've fixed the difficulty menu. Now you can choose between hard, normal and easy difficulty. Also added the count down at the start of the level. its also a bit easier to die so be safe.

Download: test build.

i think '2'
however the game type could just be another option ?
(both types accessible)

I usually pick the most popular option and stick with that because it takes extra programming to include the options that people might not use. Also too many options makes the leaderboard scores unpredictable. But thats 1 vote for option 2. Thanx

- Worked on the walls a bit. collisions are better. hard difficulty has longer tracks.
- there Is a bug where the count down stops and you get stuck at the start of stage seven. FIXED
- the camera angles still need some adjusting. FIXED

Download: ltest build.

Hope you all had a good weekend. I did spend abit of time on this over the weekend but it was mostly working on getting the vehicle to follow the track correctly. It still has some annoying bugs that will let the player clip through the fence or fall through the track. These things a bit tricky to fix - especially if you dont know EXACTLY whats causing it. Eitherway I am still working at it. FIXED

- spent a good deal of time fixing wall bugs and falling through the track
- camera options are better now. And you can see further down the track
- 10 playable tracks with 3 difficulties modes (or something like that).
- takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Download: test build v0.26.

I played all 10 levels. Trust me when I say this is legitimately a really really really fun racing game. I'd download this if I saw it online!! Maybe have a way to change cars, and also possibly dial back the knockback from hitting a wall by JUST a little bit. Nothing major, but just suggestions. Also, are you planning to change the look of the game or are the aesthetics final?

Ha, it has 3 difficulties so technically its 30 tracks! :)

Thanx, I try my best! Thanx for the suggestions, I will see what I can do.

This is the general look of the game. I was going for retro cyberpunk aesthetic. I wanted to keep it "clean" so that there would not be too many distractions while driving through the city. I might add a few more signs along or under the track but this is pretty much how it will look. Top priority is that it runs at 60 fps so I will only add stuff that wont affect the frame rate.
