No problem at all mate, Thanks for all your help, Much appreciated.
there will be many more questions to come I'm sure :blush::rofl2:

I'll probably have a good play with everything, get familiar with it all then wipe it all clean and start again in a few days, I'll no doubt make a right mess of it over the next few days.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Thanks mate
Sounds like a good plan, I have a free usb drive I can just chuck in my dock.

Check my previous post that I just edited about nas. Always do a backup of your EmuMMC and games saves before “messing “..;)

yes only need fusee.zip if booting into fusee-primary.

1 - Format SD card to FAT32
2 - Fresh install of Atmosphere files on SD card. - https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases
3 - Get and put Correct Sigpatches in "atmosphere" folder - https://github.com/ITotalJustice/patches/releases
4 - (optional) Get Tinwoo or Goldleaf and place inside "switch" folder - https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/releases
5 - Boot into Hekate menu, select "Payloads", then select "Fusee-Primary"
Good Luck and Have fun!

Out of interest, Are twinoo & goldleaf just alternatives to tinfoil?

Thats the sig patches i used.
Just wondering did I do it correctly..

I downloaded both fusee.zip and hekate.zip from that link, extracted them both, then dropped all content of hakate and then fusee zips on the sdcard.. thats all I needed to do?

It does seem to all be working now.
If you can browse the NAS, you could go for the NS-USBLoader on PC and Awoo Installer on the Switch.

I used to install my games with NUT, but in the end, I change for the above combination because that way you could install multiple games , while in NUT you need to doit manually one by one.

Hi all, please link a relevant thread if I have missed it or refer my post to a different place. I have read the faqs.
I'm a complete beginner and am having trouble with my switch that is modded with trinket. I have tried to find answers elsewhere but am finding the technical language daunting.

- I bought this modded switch with trinket second-hand and I was unable to turn it on when it arrived. It had an sd card with all cfw needed to run hekate and atmosphere. Saved/ backed up those files.

- I thought it might need a new battery so changed it for a fresh one. Worked, turned on, payload injected and got atmosphere running.

- Saw that it was on an outdated version of atmosphere, so decided to update by taking the sd card out of the switch and into my computer (was using Mac OS). This didn't work and in the process I managed to make the sd card unreadable. I used bootcamp to partition my HD to windows to try reformatting the card but after 2 days it was still not formatted and long story short decided to buy a new card.

- Got the new card and on windows tried adding all the updated files from the NH switch guide.

- Put the card into my switch, held the volume up and power buttons. The screen showed that hekate had loaded for a second before it went black. Thought the battery had died so plugged it in with the original charging cable. Trinket lights still visible through the back mesh vents. No battery sign on the screen.It's been on the charger for about half an hour.

- Tried changing the files on the sd card to the original ones from the first sd card. Still nothing.

- Tried adding the original Nintendo folder to the sd card. Still nothing.

What can I do now? Is this a problem with the battery or sd card?

Thank you in advance!

I might be wrong but... As far as I know, the hack resides on the micro SD card, once you formatted the card you lost the hack, so what you need to do is go to sdsetup dot com and select everything but the linux packages. Wait for the zip tp be created and then download it and uncompress it.

Then format your micro SD card as FAT32, copy (not move) the contents of the zip into the card, put it on the switch, and restart into RCM. Go to the zip folder, PC folder, TegraRCMGUI and run TegraRCMGUI, go to the settings tab and install driver. Restart Windows. After restart run TegraRCMGUI again, select paylooad, select hekate from the payloads folder, connect the switch ready on RCM mode, if everything is right, the red "screen" on the lower left corner of TegraRCMGUI should change to green and say: RCM OK. Press inject payload.

Once the switch has boot into Hekate, go to Tools, then Backup eMMC, make a full backup (Backup eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1; and Backup eMMC RAW GPP). This is going to take a while so go for a coffee/cig break, it's going to be a 29 Gigs backup. When it's done, take the card out of the switch, put it again on the computer and copy the backup folder and later be sure to copy again into a flashdrive, external HDD, uploaded online. I might be wrong but the Nintendo Switch it's pretty much like the Motorola Milestone, as long as you have this backup safe you can't really brick it. Be sure to copy the folder out of the card because you are going to lose everhing inside the card in the next step.

Put back the card into the Switch, go to Hekate, tools, select Arch bit, RCM, Touch, Partitions, select Partition SD Card. In the next screen the rd bar emuMMC (RAW) should stay at mid (29 GB). Select Next Step to begin the partitioning. When it's done, select Close, and then Home.

Select emuMMC, create emuMMC, in the next screen select SD Partition (if it fails select SD File). Select the part tha shows up in the next screen (usually it's the 1). When it's done select Close.

Select Change emuMMC. select SD RAW 1, it should say Enabled with a green check. When it's done select close.

Turn off the Switch retrieve the card, put it on the PC, copy the contents of the zip again, turn on the Switch on RCM again, select the payload fusee-primary and inject it.

When the switch starts select Atmosphere and that's it. If everything it's ok your Switch should boot into Armosphere 0.18.

Why are you doing all this?, because on the Switch the hack it's on the micro SD Card, when you formatted you lost the hack so you needed to rehack it.

As I say before, I might be wrong, and maybe there is a fastest way to do this but I think this is the safest.

I'm having trouble with sig patches. I migrated from SX OS to Atmosphère, using Hekate + Fusée primary. Updated to 11.0.1, downloaded the latest fusee.zip from here, and have this on my hekate_ipl.ini:

[Atmosphere CFW]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee-primary.bin
kip1patch=nosigchk
emummcforce=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

And I still can't open any of my games, says I need to download them. Also Hekake seemed to have converted my "Emutendo" folder to "emuMMC/F00/Nintendo", so that seems fine.

Edit: Actually my "emuMMC/F00/Nintendo" is much smaller than my Emutendo was, I think I didn't moved it, merelly deleted the other and created a new one -.-' Good thing I had a backup.

You need to launch it in applet mode- Hold down the "R" trigger and push "A" on any title while holding down the "R" untill you see the homebrew screen open, then launch any homebrew app...it uses the full RAM the switch has

Ah thanks, will they never told me that in the manual :rolleyes::rofl2:
So doesn't have to be a cartridge game.. just any game installed to the internal storage?

Simply copy entire sd card to pc, then copy all contents to new sd card. Copy n paste. Once you have done this and confirmed new card works fine, delete the "Nintendo" folder on old sd card and you have another working sd card without those original games on it for more storage. Good luck and Have Fun!

Edit: Yea listen to @Hayato213 below, I missed the Emunand part....Sorry.

okay thank you one more question is it still worth using hidden partition rather then file os I remember at first it was recommended because of performance degradation but atmosphere/hecate were working on improving performance.

You could use the hidden partition just that you have to add the line
sector=0x2
