download the sigpatches again, looks like you're missing them/overwrote them
I tried doing that. Other installed things from before work fine. I just cant open tinfoil after updating and reinstalling it from hbc. Other games open just fine.Installing anything using awooinstaller or tinwoo installer also fails no matter what. I have downloaded and applied patches twice now but nothing seems to be working.

question, can if i install the nsp from release github wirelessly with my installer(awoo), do i still need to put in files manually to my sd card for this to work?
yeah, you do need the files too, the NSP is just a forwarder

when asked if you want overwrite ini files, do you click yes? Are you using hekate? It most definitely looks like a patches issues though. If you really can't figure it out, doing a clean install (delete ams + sept + bootlader) would fix your issue

I click yes to the overwrite questions. It doesn't look like a patches issue because i did a clean install and tested by launching games that shouldn't launch without patches. They didnt launch. Then i downloaded patches and they launched but tinfoil always gets corrupted when installing it through the hbl.

You're not supposed to open tinfoil through HBL. Go on the home menu, press + on tinfoil, go to data management and uninstall Tinfoil. Then go back to the hb menu, click on tinfoil installer. This should install tinfoil on your home menu. From now on only launch tinfoil through home menu

I didn't make it clear, my mistake. I launch the installer and it quickly kicks me back to the hbl. Then i go to the home menu and it's there, but no matter what when i try to launch it it's corrupt.

have you tried uninstalling on the home menu and running the installer again?
Yes, I hit + and delete it from there. Then I go back into the hbl and run the installer. same issue. It worked fine on 9.0.2. I updated everything and now tinfoil wont work. Games can still be launched when i update patches though.

if it's only tinfoil, it looks like a tinfoil issue then, I'm not quite sure what to say :(
Maybe try grabbing the latest tinfoil installer

well, time to just bite the bullet and do a clean install. Remove the astmosphere, sept and bootloader folders, grab the latest atmosphere (and hekate if needed) + sigpatches

That's the problem, i've done that too. Deleted atmosphere, hekate, bootloader, sept, everything but the the Nintendo folder. Still nothing nothing working. I'm considering deleting the emunand and redoing everything from scratch.

I wouldn't. You should make a thread asking for help or asking around in discords, I'm sure people have had that issue before. Deleting the nand for this seems like overkill. The nand works fine if it boots, it has to be homebrew related. You might even have the same issue if you do that

I finally tried this out, threw a python script together to shuffle RCM payloads around afterward to match my personal setup, and it's working great. Big time saver for updating Atmosphere, thanks!

Which CFW are you using? In the release archive, there are two .nros, you need to get aio-switch-updater.nro, not aio-switch-updater-vx.x.x.nro, so make sure you're launching the right ones.
Do you have a lot of sysmodules on?

OFW 10.0.4 , AMS 0.13.0

I Just launch the one showing at homebrew menu , should I delete that other file then ?

Deleted the other file and it still doesnt work. Also about the sysmodules I dont know , so probably not ? I just use ams and hekate , the sigpatches and tinfoil and thats pretty much it

ED: Rebooted the console and it works now
