Once I've hacked the switch what should I be using to install pirated games that I have? Is there a guide anywhere for that?

Is there a special program I need to save inside games and does it save to the memory card?

Rrr matey, I prefer Goldleaf 0.9 but there are many others too like Tinfoil, Awoo, etc. You can store games to internal memory on switch or to a SD card. Search here on GBATemp for those apps, and they will show directions. And no you don't add anything to the game files (NSP, XCI) before installing.

Thanks bud. I tried searching but couldn't find a guide for Golfleaf. Do you have a link to a guide please?

Also if I follow the switch.homebrew.guide then will my Switch's internal storage be using exFAT while my SD card is FAT32? Is that the correct way of doing it?

I've been out of the loop for a while and I can't seem to find anything on this.
Is it safe to update to 11.0.1 on Switch with SX ?
Thanks

No it is not because SX OS does not support firmware 11.0.1. Since it has been a long time since the firmware came out and key members of TX have been arrested, it is becoming less and likely that the CFW will receive an update. It is recommended to setup a dualboot for Atmosphere since that it is the only CFW that supports 11.0.1

Thanks for the reply but I'm hoping it'll be updated before SMW comes out, I got faith in them (hopefully)

Hey guys, I wouldn't consider myself s noob or anything, I'm usually always able to find answers on this great website for years so i never ask any questions but i did have a question about swapping EMMC from a busted sd card no patched unit with a working patched unit. Can i just swap the non patched EMMC into the patched unit and send a payload or is that a completely separate part of the chip?
I much appreciate any info that you may provide me.
Thanks!

No you can't swap the band and still get into the hacked console. RCM is a bug in the processor not the emmc.

There are people who can repair the microSD port though

Hey, all.

So, I'm using SXOS Emunand on a Switch Lite (will move to Atmosphere soon) but have a specific issue with JKSV and my pre-modchip/CFW days:

I only had 2 games for my Switch, BOTW and Mario Odyssey. Both are cartridges. I hadn't finished either but was deep into them.
I get SXOS running on emunand and all is fairly well.
I want to back up my saves for those two games so I grab JKSV and follow a tutorial but no saves are able to be backed up. It's like there are none at all to back up.

I know emunand is just a copy of my nand so shouldn't the saves be in emunand? Like, shouldn't it be like nothing changed in that regard?

Any way to find them and get them to work via my now emunand? Thanks!

PS: Also, if I'm confusing Emunand and "System" (storage?) forgive me. I'm a noob with Switch but the issue of not being able to find my old saves remains. Thanks!

Hi all, hope everyone is well.

I'm running latest CFW11.0.1|AMS 0.17.1|E.
Question regarding sd micro card. I would like if possible to transfer everything, basically clone my existing sd micro card to larger capacity sd micro card.

Is this possible?

Yes is easy. Simply back up all contents of SD card to a pc, format new card to FAT32, then copy all contents to new SD card from pc...(Gonna take awhile tho, esp if you have alot of games installed on SD card)

You can try using the Checkpoint homebrew app also, to backup all your game saves, if JKSV not working.

Once you have copied over to the new SD card, and confirmed it works fine, you can simply delete the "Nintendo" folder from the original SD card, but keep the rest of the files on there. Now you have another SD card for more storage, without those original games on it. Good Luck.

Just norm windows copy n paste/ drag n drop is fine.

Okay I think I'm finally ready to take the risk and emuMMC my Switch with Atmosphere but there's one last concern I have: What is the safest way to let my Switch connect to my home-network but block online? Will emuMMC and sysMMC show as different devices in a router? If yes I could just block emuMMC in my router itself.

I ask because I want to use emuMMC for PS5 Remote Play. Also I read that emuMMC should be patched with Incognito, is that still a thing?

Thanks

I just got my first switch lite and experimented on it. It contained SX OS with 3.1.0. I wanted the system firmware on 11.0.1 along with the latest Atmosphère.
The original firmware was 10.2.0.

Steps I took:
1. Installed Atmosphère 0.18.0 > https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases
1.1 Tutorial:
2. Downloaded firmware 11.0.0 from > https://archive.org/download/nintendo-switch-global-firmwares
3. Used Daybreak from within Atmosphère to upgrade the firmware.
3.1 Tutorial: https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualupgrade.html
4. Downloaded firmware 11.0.1 from > https://archive.org/download/nintendo-switch-global-firmwares
5. Done.

Hope this helps.

No, sysMMC and emuMMC are technically the same device because they use the same certificate to connect online. If you want to retain Internet connectivity without fearing a ban, I recommend using 90DNS.

Ah too bad but alright I see. What about Incognito ontop of 90DNS for emuMMC?

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
