A guide for what exactly? Thanks what’s the best guide you recommend for mariko modded chip.
I have a couple questions:
1. I have followed this guide (https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/) for sysnand (back in 2018) and again in 2020 for emuMMC.
I've read that you can restore sysnand with your old nand backup and get a "normal" system at that point for online and whatever else while keeping your CFW on your emuMMC, and you can just launch into sysnand for online/normal use and launch emuMMC for CFW stuff. Is this true?
2. Can you update the firmware on sysnand or on emuMMC after doing that?
3. How do you ID a nand backup for Switch? I appear to have not labeled my original switch sysnand backup very well, but it looks like I have a folder called "a6604c09" containing a folder called "restore", two 4KB files called "BOOT0" and "BOOT1", and a file about 30GB called "rawnand.bin". Is that a switch sysnand backup? I have one labeled from when I did the emuMMC stuff that looks the same, but I want to confirm before I go ahead.
4. How do I unlink a nintendo ID from my switch on emuMMC if I can't connect to the net/can't update?
Sorry for dualboot atmosphere and SXOX modchip marikoA guide for what exactly?

That error usually means the bootloader folder on the SD card is not using the latest one corresponding to the latest release. If you really did put the latest bootloader folder from the Hekate GitHub page, then its possible your SD card might be fake. And before you mention the brand or where you purchased it from, fakes have been sold everywhere even by reputable brands so if you haven't checked if its fake, do so after verifying you put the latest bootloader folder. After writing an image of my old SD card with my EmuNand on it to a bigger SD card and resizing the partitions, I get an error once I inject Hekate saying the bootloader needs to be updated even though its already up to date. I've tried other ways of injecting Hekate but the error still persists. Is their a solution for this problem?
The card was previously used on another switch I used and was filled completely with games that all ran fine, I know its not fake. That error usually means the bootloader folder on the SD card is not using the latest one corresponding to the latest release. Firstly, you didn't verify that you did indeed put the latest bootloader folder corresponding to the latest release from the Hekate GitHub page. Secondly, while I did mention that the SD card being fake becomes more of a possibility if you already did that, its something that can only be acknowledged if one performs the proper test as fake cards have ways of dealing with reaching the supposed limits. To put it another way, if you don't verify that its real, then there is always the possibility that the problems are due to the card being fake. That is because any other issues relating to the SD card aside from a fake card are associated with hardware problems and those are much harder to fix than a fake SD card. The card was previously used on another switch I used and was filled completely with games that all ran fine, I know its not fake.
There are multiple ways to update your firmware. It is merely up to you whether you want to do it online officially or offline via homebrew apps.@Draxzelex Thanks for replying. As for point 2, do you mean that you can update firmware on sysnand or on emuMMC without issue once you have set up your emuMMC?
I assume your console is not patched. Since your console is not patched, you will always to be able to use the same exploit. That is because the exploit is hardware-dependent, not software-dependent therefore firmware is irrelevant.@Draxzelex Thanks again for this info. Does this mean that updating switch firmware on restored sysnand has no effect on launching into emuMMC, I assume because your switch at that point uses the exploit to launch CFW before it ever boots to sysnand? Here I thought you had to be on specific versions to keep being able to launch and not cause problems.
One more Q, you said that NNID is not connected to switch, I messed up and didn't clarify that I was thinking about user accounts. I have my NNID linked to a user account. If I wanted to delete the account and unlink, could I do that on both sysnand and emuMMC without going online/updating, or is it not possible? Thanks.

And while I understand you wish to unlink it, you are honestly better off not unlinking it for several reasons. The first of which is that bans are not typically associated with accounts. I believe you intend to keep either sysMMC or emuMMC offline so there is no need to unlink it since only one of them will be online. Another reason is that certain games require a linked account in order to work.
Oh I didn't know you weren't going to be using the console. In that case, you have to go online in order to remove the account which requires being on the latest firmware. The problem is you cannot do this on both sysMMC and emuMMC because that would flag your console for a ban since emuMMC is a copy of syMMC so it would be like having the same console going online twice. Thanks for responding. I was actually in the process of preparing it to sell, I have a buyer set up and I was just trying to remove the accounts I had on there when I found it required a system update. I assume that the recipient would want to associate his own NNID in the future, and I already de-registered the account on the computer side. I'm just looking to get my old stuff off as cleanly as possible.
I recommend using TinWoo Installer instead. And in case you don't already have them, you also need patches to launch pirated games which you can find here.hello can someone link me full guide from beginning , how get pirate game running
I just want to follow the steps and get it working yet ive been trying to get it working for 2 days and still some problems occur
and its really tiring .
Right now Ive been fighting with tinfoil to get it running and its stuck
