Apologies fo the double post - as an alternative, can I download and run NTSC N64 VC games on my PAL Wii?
Thanks v. Much for this, I’ll look into it - will this route run the games perfectly just as if they were running on an unmodded console?Uneek2o with multiple emulated nands, 1 for each region u have titles fir, then install the titles to the emunand of the same region.
Check out Modmii, it can build neek2o (via its "Sneek" features from the main menu) as well as build emunands for all regions, etc
Thanks again, really appreciate the info. Something else just occurred to me though. I have another Wii (NTSC) that’s been modded with WiiDual - so I can get RGB out of that. My N64 VC games are on the unmodded console though - I bought them all and I’d buy them again on the WiiDual console but of course the Wii shop’s closed. I’m wondering - if I hack the WiiDual one, is there a way of getting the VC N64 library on it exactly the same as I have on the other one? By the same I mean that it’s Nintendo’s code running on their emulator on the homepage, looking and playing exactly the same as if I downloaded them from Nintendo? I prefer to know I’m playing the way Nintendo intended rather than on external emulators etc.In theory, but I think there are a few titles that might be finicky, but most should work pretty cleanly
Thanks again - being an utter noob and looking to follow the simplest path, could I instead do a full nand dump of the VC Wii in usb GX loader or WiiFlow then use that nand dump in GXloader or Wiiflow on the other Wii?You could use bluedump mod to dump and fakesign titles from your other wii then install to a different wii. Or you could just make a nand backup of your other console, and use it as an emulated nand (extract nand.bin using showmiiwads' showmiinand mode), and launch the emunand on a different wii.
That should work too. But when launching the titles you will get closer to the "real deal" by fully loading into neek to access your emunand, rather than launch emunand titles using a usbloader, which iirc still uses a cios instead of stock ios'sThanks again - being an utter noob and looking to follow the simplest path, could I instead do a full nand dump of the VC Wii in usb GX loader or WiiFlow then use that nand dump in GXloader or Wiiflow on the other Wii?
D2x v10 beta 52 is basically the same as v8-final, no need to change the version. However, you should have Base 57 installed to slot 249, and 56 to slot 250, and base 58 is unnecessary but can go to slot 251 or wherever. Not sure if this is the correct place, but I have 2 questions:
1. I have installed (actually, updated from v6) d2x v10beta52 on:
247 [base 57] revision 65535
248 [base 56] revision 65535 - this is the default IOS I set to use with USB Loader GX.
249 [base 58] revision 65535 (this one had the old rev19, so it was overwritten with this new d2x v10)
Will I get any problems by not using the regular IOSs slots? Are there any problems with 249 being base 58?
2. I've read in this page (https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Wii_cIOS_base_Compatibility_List) that:
"On Wii, v8 final is preferred. On vWii, d2x v10 r52 is preferred (do not install d2x v10-Alternate r53!)."
Should I overwrite 247, 248 and 249 with v8 for better stability? If so, where can I find it? This guide (https://wii.guide/cios) only provides d2x v10.
But, are there any possible problems in terms of compatibility/stability if I keep them like this? I chose those slots because I had already used them before and didn't want to mess with other slots. I hacked my Wii a long time ago haha, when the guides asked us to use rev19 in 249 and, later, d2x in 247 and 248.That should work too. Oh, it's worth noting that if you dump your nand to use as an emunand, it will play back games from the neek disc channel as if it was a stock wii ONLY if the doner nand had stock unpatched IOSs is the slots that matter (anything over 200 doesn't matter, and ios20, 30,40, 50,51,52 ,60,70,80 should be okay if they are patched as well). But if you have a patched ios55, or ios56, etc. because of a prior DarkCorp or cioscorp installation this emunand will have it too and it will have an impact on playback via neek. To determine if you fall in this group, you should run syscheck HDE (given how passionate u are to run things as close to virgin as possible I doubt this applies to u, but u never know)

You can use modmii or wii.guide, both will accomplish the same thing
I found a disk titled update disk that says wiikey. I must have got it hard modded if I have this disk.

Just ignore the hardmod, and softmod using ModMii as per usualI dusted my Wii off after several years and I had many games burnt to disk which don’t seem to load but the originals work.

Any suggestions for easiest solution to get it running? I tried to search around but the terminology is too much for me, I’m totally out of touch.
Thanks, I'll just leave it as it is then. That would be a 200+ slot that is not used by official functions of the wii
Hello all. Im hoping I put this in the correct place. I apologize if I didnt. Ive been having trouble loading games in USB Loader GX. When I start the game it goes black. Ill post my syscheck below. Any help would be appreciated. I tried other threads but to no help. Thank you!
