@EleventhSign

I have a R4 dualcore r4isdhc.hk device. I bricked it accidentally by flashing r4isdhc dual core firmware from 3ds.guide. I later found your firmware(backup.bin) but ntr boot flasher of my 3ds does not detect the card due to the wrong firmware.can you please make a flasher firm for 3ds that bypasses card checks and flashes r4isdhc.hk firmware 7.0 version. Thanks in advance.

Hi, sorry but the only way you can recover is by opening the cart, taking out the NOR chip and flashing it with an SPI programmer. The programming that makes a DS/3DS console recognize it as a DS cart is saved in that chip. And that is gone now. That's why your 3DS cannot not see it anymore. Basically the cart cannot properly introduce itself to the console that it is a DS cartridge. No homebrew app can fix this now.

Can I use the card swap trick to force flash the firmware?

Firmware backup from 482 in 1 card.
Spongebob icon in launch,
ACE3DS+ background, not real ACE3DS+ card.
Chip must remove in programming, Zbit 25VQ16ATIG flash.
Microsd files without games, only game samplefile, it not working. Chinese microsd card damaged so fast and with 482in1.zip file you can reinstall again working microsd (only copy files from zip in empty microsd-card).

2020 R4i gold pro
Read with flashreader and clip, no need remove chip from pcb.
Same firmware found RTS Lite and Dual Core cards from 2014->
I think smaller chip is time saving timebomb rearm use.

How do I begin to dump and restore flashcart firmware? I have a dead R4i-SDHC that I'm interested in restoring. Is it the same method to flash bios chips?

If you have a modded 3DS you can use the ntrboot flasher (.firm version) to backup or restore a flashcart compatible dump.

PS: You can see how exactly restore a dump via ntrboot flasher here

Hi guys, I recently wanted to update this r4 but the console was trying to update all day until the screen froze, I had it for a whole day like that and nothing happened, I turned off the console and I found that the flashcard didn't work anymore.
I tried to use the ntrboot Flasher but apparently it is not supported.
My flashcard are R4igold.cc

Yeah these carts are known to brick if you used an incorrect kernel.

WP is controlled via software or control register in SPI. Try to flash this using an SPI flasher, it's a SpongeBob icon too and should work with the kernel I gave u before.

Thanks a huge bunch, I flashed NTRboot on my flashcart and I couldn't restore it even with the original backup, i even switched the flash chip with another flashcart i had lying around after using an EEPROM/Flash writer to no avail

This dump restored my flashcard

Here's a pic of my flashcart for reference

Any one has a firmware for this model? it got bricked after mi dsi turned off while updating. I used to get the kernels and updates from r4ids . c o m but not the website is dead , I was also able to retrieve the nds for the update using wayback machine and running it with unlauch and twilight menu ++ but the card is not even recognized, I also tried flashing a bunch of different firmares using an spi programmer clip but non has worked. :(

@Alexander1970 Good Morning and Thank you. But I mentioned I tried using Wayback machine before but could not find anything helpful. I was actually looking for the flashcard .bin backup so I can flash it using the SPI Programmer :)

Thank you for suggesting it and yes I did but still no success. I have my old kernel files for the sd that I got from that website but what I'm looking for is a backup. bin file of the firmware of the flashcard that you flash directly on the board since the board is not recognized at all :)

I don't think that there is any application that can flash that type of card, so a backup wouldn't help you anyways
I appreciate the help but I'm sorry I think I didn't explain myself the best way. I'm not trying to use another ds/dsi/3ds to flash the flashcard, I'm using an SPI programmer to flash the NOR chip directly from a computer because the flashcard is not being recognized at all by the ds/dsi/3ds, the backup bin files that I've seen everyone share here look a lot like what I need even tho I know everyone is using ds/dsi/3ds apps to flash and dump them I'm just looking for someone that may have the same flashcard as me to share me their bin file so I can try flashing it with the SPI programmer :)
