Hey,

Wasn’t sure if this was the right section for this but here goes.

Running DS games from the Home Screen, sometimes I get the bottom of each screen glitched like in the attached photo. Any ideas on how to stop it?

The games are played via forwarders using Forwarder-3DS.

Thanks!

Top screen towards the bottom has a double image?

I get this occasionally, all I ever did was exit/restart the game and I will get a working screen, not using forwarders just loaded a game in Twilight ++ itself.

And no, I don't know what could be the cause nor a permanent fix.

I have this problem myself, it usually happens more with GBA games run through the NDS bootstrap than regular DS games, so it seems like a slight rendering glitch in the NDS bootstrap. I don't use forwarders, and I don't think that it matters, as forwarders are basically just a shortcut to the DS/GBA games. I don't have a permanent solution, it usually just resolves itself randomly.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
