New Pokémon snap gets a new trailer and release date

Nintendo just dropped a new trailer for New Pokémon Snap, showing some new details, including some of the Pokémon you’ll be able to find and capture photos of. The most important bit of information revealed was the game’s release date. You’ll be able to pick up the sequel to the beloved Nintendo 64 classic on April 30th.

I don't get how some pokemon fans would dislike the idea (and reality!) of a new snap game. Seeing pokemon in those enviroments is priceless, that's what i always disliked about the pokemon series, back then it was the fact that they didn't dare dwell into 3D much much earlier (meaning "you see stadium and snap? well keep that style!"), and nowadays, the fact that you never see pokemon outside of the battle screens and even there they're standing still on the same spot. It makes them feel lifeless AF.
I know SWSH sorta fixed this by having overworld pokemon running around, but it's not quite the same feeling that snap gives, and THAT'S what i want for mainline pokemon. Seeing a heracross fighting a pinsir and approaching it and releasing my pokemon in the middle of the forest without a cut to a generic battle background, and seeing the pokemons walk around during the battle. It's not much to ask, then again gamefreak is always years behind..

I hope for y'all that it will come out gud and all, but here am gonna see how GF if gonna fuck this game up. If they're developing it, haven't checked.

Maybe it is just me but they should have implemented the "Snap Mode" in the lets go series. I'm just tying to see how does Nintendo justify the $59.99 price tag for this game if all you are doing is taking pictures
I'd say most of ninty's games are worth 40 bucks at best. Those extra 20?
It's what I call the "Nintendo Tax™"

Game Freak is usually hands-off for spinoffs. Spike Chunsoft does Mystery Dungeon, Koei did Conquest, Intelligent Systems did Colosseum. That being said, New Snap is being handled by Namco. (HAL made the original)
As a Klonoa fan, I've my own beef with Namco >: (
And aight, like said, didn't knew exactly who was working on the game, didn't check, lol

This reminds me, why didn't Gamefreak do a Pokemon Snap for the 3DS? While less powerful that the Switch the console would have been perfect for it.

Oh $nap, i'm interested on their new gimmicks

At least is about 200 Pokemon to snap this time. Even if unfortunately that includes some really ugly Pokemon.

It would be nice to see them revamp accesories for this, maybe have like a pokedex sort of thing in the AR world that allows you to travel around snap pics of this or that and be sent to the switch.

gamefreak doesnt develop pokemon spin offs, only the mainline games, almost all spin offs are handled by other company/studios

pokemon stadium 1 and 2 developped by Nintendo EAD
pokemon snap
was developped by Hal laboratory's
hey you pikachu,Rumble series and pokemon channel developped by Ambrella
pokemon colosseum,XD and Battle revolution
were made by genious sonority
Mystery Dungeon series
is done by chunsoft
Ranger series
is made by Creatures inc.

etc

Gamefreak doesn't developed anything besides mainline series, the rest is either Nintendo other studios or just outside studios that go there with an idea and if they like it they license Pokemon to them to make a game i guess no studio showed much interest in developing a sequel until now, hell its not even nintendo developing snap 2 but bandai namco lol.
