I just got a an unpatched switch and have a question for cfw setup.
if i setup an EmuMMC, will it be a copy of my SysMMC including all the apps/savegames/settings on it?
Will my SysMMC be untouched by the setup process, so i can use it for online stuff?

I have my EMU switch on 9.01 with updated atmosphere, what route should i go to update to FW 11.01 so I can run the MH Rise Demo on it? Can I just update emunand via the system menu, or do I need to manually install the firmware via daybreak?

Was there not a folder named atmosphere on your SD card?
Well it says it does support installing from an HDD so maybe the games you downloaded are no good.
SX OS does not support the latest firmware meaning if you want to mount .XCI files on the latest firmware, that is currently impossible and we don't know when there will be an update if ever given TX's situation.
I recommend using TinWoo Installer. If you need to transfer data, try using Hekate's UMS instead. It moves files via USB.
The only reason to use a separate SD card for sysMMC and emuMMC is if you do not have space to put everything on one SD card. If you believe Nintendo is going to ban you because they check for CFW/homebrew files on your SD card, that is a huge misnomer with no basis in reality.
Fuses only matter to the end-user meaning they do not hold any intrinsic value at the moment. If you burn them, you will still be able to hack the console since the current exploit has nothing to do with them. But if a future exploit is released that requires a specific fuse count, then there is nothing you can do to remedy that situation. Therefore if possible, it is objectively better to avoid burning fuses.
emuMMC is initially a copy of your sysMMC. The setup process also does not have any effects on your sysMMC.
Either way is fine but if your emuMMC has any record of homebrew application usage or other hacks, then you risk getting banned updating it online. It might be better to just update it offline through Daybreak.

anyway i installed a game using tinwoo but when i try to open it i get error code 2155-8007, then installed another game and i got the same error... is there a way to fix this?
Is it a game you own? If not, do you have the appropriate patches to play backups?
no its a game i downloaded... i ended up updating my firmware to 11.0.1, uninstall the game, install tinfoil then reinstalled the game using tinfoil and it solved it.
CFW is never installed to the system. CFW are just files on your SD card that are read by whatever payload you use.
Hy there, i have a specific problem, i was on Firmware 10.1.0 Atmosphere (Emu) and decided to try out the latest Atmo with the latest firmware... and some sigpatches and it literally broke everything, i decided to delete the emulated nand and start again with 10.1.0 (Emu) but now no game i try will start and im kinda at my wits end (I assume it literally can only be cause im using the wrong sigpatches).
Edit: Nevermind i found the correct sigpatches i was looking for, now i will try again with the fw update on my emu nand.

You need a modchip like Trinket M0, along with autoboot to make closest thing to a cold boot.
One thing to note also is the new Atmos comes pre auto-enable all cheats, makes alot of games crash on boot.....u need to look in config templates folder, open system_settings.ini w notepad, change cheats to non auto-enable, then save file, then copy over to config folder on sd card, make sure to remove "," on every line to enable...pain to deal with but required...im sure theres tut on here but i cant link yet

Im running SX OS on a OG console using a none SX dongle. I only have NSP’s and have never been online.
What I would like to know is if I follow the guide in this forum to change from SX to Atmos, do I need to wipe my SD card and start a fresh? How else does Atmos see the games otherwise if using the hidden partition in SX? Surely it’s not a simple case of adding the Atmos boot loader and deleting the SX one, is it??
Any help would be much appreciated.
