I'm looking for a new cheap month to month subscription so I'd like to hear which ones you guys use the most and think are the best.

Whatever you do, don’t get VyperVPN. It’ll totally narc on you if you uh, download, ahem, backups. Completely pointless because the VPN tracks your every search and download and reports it to your ISP.

What do you seek to do with it?
Various things people do -- try to secure themselves in the event the local pub still has WEP security, try to watch out of region content on streaming services, try to dodge regional censorship (though that varies between UK style, Iran, China, India and Australia), try to buy things from other countries where it is cheaper (flights, games, hotels... be sure your card is set to handle it as having to go get it unblocked because it appeared in Latvia is tedious), use it to hide themselves in case of torrents and the like, use it to still appear in somewhere for purposes of work or more nefarious, use it to go back into their home computer or work computer (though this is a slightly different take to what most mean here) and so on and so on.
Depending upon what you want to do you can also run one from your house for nothing/cost of electricity to a computer (or possibly raspberry pi), though this will do less for watching those American shows if you are not in the US, could watch whatever local stuff you have though if you think they make something worth watching.
Can also have things bundled. My old usenet subscription came with one.
The torrents and nefarious deeds thing means I would not trust "no logs kept" as far as I can throw it. That means I would pay with bitcoin or disposable credit cards purchased with cash and all that. Some actually trust the "we don't keep logs" thing more though.

I second Mullvad with a passion. Definitely make sure you're using a VPN for the right reasons, keep in mind the limitations and disadvantages of using one and dont use a provider you don't trust (Including Mullvad if you read over all their information and don't trust them... for whatever reason).
By using a VPN youre shifting trust of viewing your web traffic from your ISP and on to your VPN provider. Whether that's what you want is up to you to decide.

I used IVPN for 2 years before switching to Mullvad, as I'd discovered IVPN's IPs being blacklisted by multiple sites, and their number of servers were limited. No issues with Mullvad so far and they have a much bigger selection of servers for every country.

I also have used PIA for 3 years now. I have it running on my android phone, Windows PC's, Linux servers, Plex server, and my wife's MAC. I have had zero problems, and zero warning letters from my ISP. Like Chary said, it doesn't work with Netflix. Not aware of any VPN's that do. although some claim that they work with Netflix, I have yet to see any that do. Although I could be wrong. PIA has a lot of servers, Wire guard, and split tunnels. But it's not the only good one out there. I don't think I would trust any of them completely. Like I tell my friends, don't use them for anything you wouldn't be willing to jail for.

A lot of them do. Surfshark is apparently very good on that front.
They must have changed something since I tried them a couple of years ago. I tried Surfshark for that very reason. After an hour long phone call they finally admitted that "it doesn't always work with Netflix", and refunded my money. I'm glad they finally got it working.
I'm with PIA (Private Internet Access) for $40 a year. They give you up to 5 devices on at once, which is nice. But you can also just set it at the router level too and be totally covered across all your devices, because the router only counts as 1 device.

I can't say if it's cheap enough, but I recommend either NordVPN, AirVPN, or even the recently released ProtonVPN from the people who made ProtonMail. All of them are really well made and state they never share information.

I bought Windscribe's Lifetime License in 2017 and have had no issues whatsoever, of course, lifetime accounts are no longer available for purchase. Just yearly and monthly packages.

ProtonMail is really good. I've made a free account and have had no issues, I'd honestly say I prefer them than Gmail or Outlook, but got accounts "locked" to G/O so can't use ProtonMail only.
As for ProtonVPN, it's good, but they don't offer an Adblocker Feature like Windscribe does. I have asked and Proton said they're adding it later.
i've been chilling with protonVPN, its free for changing your country ip but it has a monthly subscription for a bunch of other countries.

Created five years ago and it's based in France, and might be useful to know they're part of the Nine Eyes, but if you're not doing anything despicably illegal, then you should have nothing to worry about.I use one called digibit , use it for streaming STUFFand i find that works perfectly. Its got lots of servers in diffent locations

Personally, I never heard of this VPN so I can't comment on it if it's actually good, safe or stable. But, after five years they better have gotten that in order.

I used ProtonVPN Premium for a day and thought it was great, though due to the lack of a built-in adblocker it made me return to Windscribe.
I did inquiry Proton about it and they're adding it later.
VPNs these days feel like essential while browsing considering there's so much censorship in many forms. If I want to watch YouTube videos that are restricted to a country, then I just change to that specific one. Annoying? Yeah. Gotten used to it? Yeah. Do I miss internet without borders? Yeah.
