So I figured out my switch lite screen needs to be repaired or replaced. Question is how do you determine if you need to replace the screen or the digitizer? Anyway to tell the difference on which one I need to fix?

The issue is blank screen, I can hear sounds playing in the background. Just no pictures or images. Screen seems to respond to touch just no images showing.

Are you able to press things on the screen and hear the movements?

I have a similar issue but the touchscreen does work, (it makes sounds when I touch icons I don't see). It just shows no image.

Yea I can hear movement and it responds to touch commands. I just can't see anything

Looks like you guys may need to change actual LCD panel. It's the most expensive part from the display. Here's a tutorial:

It could also be maybe a poor connection. Hard to tell without investigating the motherboard further.

Actually, quick questions guys. Does it play fine whilst on dock mode and you can see everything?

Mine is a switch lite so I have no docking ability sadly. I'm thinking of either getting the part and try to fix it myself. Or just purchase a hackable regular switch. Lcd repair is the cheapest option compared to buying another switch. But if I break my lite in the repair process I'm sol. Guess I'll try the cheap one first

Thanks. (Remember we are talking about Switch Lite).

I checked my motherboard, and it had corrosion, but very minor corrosion. The connector seems fine after trying to get rid of the corrosion on the flex ribbon. Voltage also seems fine. Not sure if you could give more suggestions with the details I shared.

Just found this as well, it might help.

Sorry, completely forgot about you guys having a lite. Maybe get a fibre glass pen, like this person does?

My switch lite is nodded with the SXOS mod chip, does that tie into the display in any way?

Did it happen after the installation? Or worked for a bit then didn't?

It was working fine all this time. Though I dropped it a few times by accident on the floor. I dropped it again recently by mistake and that's when the screen went out

Yeah, not sure. Could be the LCD or if the chip causing an issue. Either way, you're going to have to open to investigate as I don't believe this to be a software failure.
