ROM Hack What causes Sappy 2006 to crash often when playing sounds?

I've recently noticed that sappy tends to crash more often than it used to, and it only happens when you either try to play a sound or song (sometimes it happens during the middle of the song). Can anyone explain as to why it crashes so much and ways I can get it to not crash all of the time?

Unfortunately the developer stopped working on it with version 17.1 being the last available release of the program and I kind of need the sound to play to be able to determine what changes need to be made for a sfx or song, so it's kind of hard to do that. Thanks for the reply anyway, (I honestly wasn't sure if anybody would respond to my post on this subject)

    There was a time where we were able to bypass the school's network using a VPN that wasn't blocked on the radar. Can't exactly remember the name, but I was able to watch YouTube.
