Ubisoft is here to spread the holiday cheer, as they're giving away little tidbits and even games all this week. Monday's gift was an outfit and settlement pack for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, while the second day of giveaways was for a free copy of Starlink: Battle for Atlas on their exclusive PC client, Ubisoft Connect. They'll be giving away other goodies up until Friday, December 18th, so be sure to check back each day to claim whatever Ubisoft has on offer until then.

  • Day 1: Assassin's Creed: Valhalla seafarer settlement pack & legendary Bayek outfit
  • Day 2: Starlink: Battle for Atlas
  • Day 3: Watch Dogs®: Legion Rewards Pack
  • Day 4: Trials Rising
  • Rewards pack for Hyper Scape

No Ubiart?

Not interested.

been playing this game on the switch. I got it while it was on sale marked down from $39.99 to $9.99. it's pretty decent. I still can't figure out how coins are lost. sometimes when I die, I lose coins or whatever those things are, then other times I don't.

Personally, I find it really dumb for a game sold on Steam to require an entirely separate storefront/launcher to be installed and open in order to run said game. Like, isn't the one storefront/launcher, the one I bought the game from, enough?

And guess who's the biggest culprit of this nonsense - Ubisoft. Sometimes EA too, but mostly U-Play.
ubisoft may utilize devkit pllugins proprietary to their software
its free yet youre upset they gather data? i get its another hoop to jump through

Thank you Ubisoft!
I will now forget the whole thing about sexual abuse and mismanagement in your offices that the press brought up to light.

But hey, free games kids!
:rofl2:

Not even sure if those that are complaining about other people complaining about free games actually know or remember about this.

People complaining about getting free games? I just got 2 questions:

1- Wasn't personal computers meant to run multiple computer programs?

2- Are you really complaining about privacy and data security while typing a reply on your chrome browser installed on your windows 10 machine?
1) Yes, but needing to have two separate launchers open just to run a single game is stupid. Also, U-Play isn't as feature-rich or as popular as Steam, so comparatively few people will have an account for it, and creating an account specifically for a handful of games just isn't practical or convenient (coughBethesdarequiringanaccountforDoomEternaltoruncough).

2) I'd assume quite a few folks aren't running Chrome, or on Windows 10. They could be using Firefox or Edge or Brave or Opera or whatever, or be using Linux or macOS (in which case they could also be using Safari).
Personally, I use Brave on both my Macbook Pro and my Lenovo Legion Y530 - which is based off Chrome, but *not* actually owned by Big G.

that's a bold statement considering almost all their games have required a Uplay account for the past ...what... 10 or so years? even a few console versions needed it at some point if I recall.
