What exactly do you mean by your controller config resets?

You can order one off of AliExpress or eBay. Alternatively, you can just use something conductive to enter RCM like a paperclip or aluminum foil. Either way, its recommended to enable AutoRCM so that way you don't need to manually enter RCM ever again.

How do you boot into Atmosphere? Is it with Hekate or fusee?

Fusee primary from 16.0 because the changelog said it didn't get updated with 16.1.

All I need to do to get into RCM where I can load a payload is while it's powered down, simply hold Vol Up and then tap Power. Then let go of both. That's it. Doing this will then allow me to then plug in the USB cable at which time my PC will do the normal sound that something has been plugged in and then I can start up the TegraRCMGui app and load a payload. So basically I don't ever hold both buttons, just hold the volume and tap power. Done. I used this step in this guide and had no issues with the PC detecting it at this stage.

Edit: Do make note of the part in the guide I linked about going into Settings of the TegraRCMGui app to install the drivers. This might be what you need to do specifically so that your computer recognizes it. Good luck!
i got it working
ended up i had to restart my pc so go figure
really the rest of the switch modding process is cake after that

hi, i'm interested in one thing, how is it on SX OS with eshop games?
I want to brake the Switch only for OC capabilities, but I would still like to use the original copies of the games. Will it be possible?

Im trying to find the easiest way to boot into my emuNAND where my games are installed with the fewest amount of steps possible.

At the moment I got "Turn Auto RCM on" which will boot into RCM on power button. And then use my RCMloader to inject a primary.fusee payload and then its done.

I just kinda wish there was a way for me to not remove my switch from the docking port, to just press the power button, for it to automatically go into emuNAND. But guessing thats not possible. Unless any of you all know a solution.

(On a random note, what is the difference between AutoBoot and AutoRCM? Notice both of these options in Hekate)

Autoboot just automatically boot the payload you configured to autoboot, autoRCM will always put the switch in RCM mode, you need a modchip to boot into CFW with one button.

If you intended to play online while running CFW then no.

Okay well I got another switch that is hackable. Its been a while since I hacked my old one. So I got a few questions. This time I'd like to be able to play my eshop games and not get banned. It looks like I need to make an emunand. The guide I'm looking at says I need hekate. After I make the emunand do I need to keep hekate on my switch for the emunand to work? Also I got the switch from a friend and he said that he had it hacked but never installed non legit games or homebrew (which is weird I mean why hack it then) so does that mean if I make a backup of sysnand is it clean?

You don't need Hekate but Hekate makes setting up and booting into emuMMC a lot easier. However if he hacked it and does not have a clean backup made before ever running any CFW/homebrew, the backup you will make is not going to be clean.

Yes and yes.

Currently, you can utilize Deja Vu which is a softmod available for firmware versions 1.0-4.1 and it involves loading the browser to hack the console. There is no estimated release time of what I presume you mean "untethered coldboot exploit" as the current exploit (Fusee Gelee) is technically already coldboot.

Thanks for the reply.

I got CFW up and running thanks to a 4GB SD card I had laying around. I used a 128gb while in Hekate for the nand backups, but I am (not surprisingly) unable to use the 128 gb card with the Switch operating as usual. Seeing that I never got the update for using larger SD cards.

I believe I read somewhere, long time ago that one could manually install this patch/update using something like ChoiDujourNX. I'm assuming this patch would have to be installed to CFW (sysMMC)? Can I use Daybreak which I see was included in the SDSetup collection I used?

If I boot into Hekate using my smaller SD card, swap the larger 128 gb card in and start the emuMMC setup. Could I simply select the emuMMC partition to be so large, that the remaining "normal" partition would be 32gb or smaller, not requiring me to install the "SD patch" at all?
I'm guessing a larger emuMMC partition = larger "internal storage" for the emuMMC?

Edit:
I solved my issues.
Simply downloaded 3.0.0 firmware, installed it via Daybreak and selected "+exfat". So now my 128gb sd card works like a charm, and I'm ready to start setting up emuMMC. :)

Hi, can anybody clarify please if can I create a new user on emunand with Linkalho, linking all accounts (one of them is linked already) and after, copying the savedata, with another app, of the account was linked to the new one?

I want to use my savedata of my linked already account into the new one but it´s not possible to create a savedata file without link the account.

Hello everyone. I have a launch day Nintendo Switch, and after seeing how beneficial it can be to overlock the Switch for a ton games, I am intrigued to say the least. However, it seems as though once you apply the custom firmware to unlock this ability, you run a high risk of being banned. What is the consensus here. Is it safe to run atmosphere with freebird to overclock single player games on Switch, or are you still at high risk of getting banned? I have no desire to use it for anything else. Nintendo was way to damn conservative with their clock speeds, and we all basically have a Switch Pro already if we can just untap the real potential of the Tegra X1.

Hacked my switch 7.0.2 yesterday, downloaded the most recent versions / homebrew sdsetup site on my rcm loader and the micro sd.
Atmosphere booted perfect on 7.0.2, updated to 10.2.0 for the latest games.
Booted with the same recent software and the switch mentions the error “Error: failed to launch the recovery menu. Is it missing from /reinx folder?”.
I’m booting with the red option on the rcm loader (hekate) not reinx.
Can anyone help?
SOLVED

Nothing is ever safe when it comes to running CFW/homebrew. Some people have not been banned while others have with no reason as to why.

That's what I figured.. Thanks for answering. Well I'll still back up of course in case anything goes wrong. Okay so how do you switch from emunand to sysnand if you want to go online?

Whatever happens in emuMMC stays in emuMMC. Same goes for sysMMC.
