Persona 5 Strikers heads west on Switch, PS4 and Steam according to leaked trailer

Persona 5 Scramble’s localization has been in a bit of limbo; beginning with a confirmation that Koei Tecmo was working on bringing the game west according to a financial briefing, and then being cut from the planned release list in a further quarterly report that happened later in the year. Now, a localization seems like a pretty sure thing, after a trailer went up and was immediately pulled on Atlus’ Youtube channel. Known in Japan as Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, the English version will be shortened to Persona 5 Strikers, and will be headed to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam for PC. According to the aforementioned trailer, the game will release on February 23, 2021. Though the trailer has been removed from public view, multiple backups of it exist.

pfft, aren't we all hoping speaking from hopes of the switch side of things. Like I've said before, it still blows my mind that they outright think that there games won't have success on platforms...especially nintendo ones. xbox? sure, it's never been big in japan, pc? I think I've heard it's not to big in japan either but clearly p4g has proven it can succeed anyway, switch had no excuse besides the wii u consider the switch is currently the top system in that country...they are just so gosh dang blind >.<

Yeah this is great news, I'm just amused that now we've seen every kind of announcement that this game is coming west except for the absolute official one.
I like this game, people keep saying it's a Warriors Spin-off but this is not like the typical warriors game, more of an Action RPG with dungeon exploration, quests and yes, combat gameplay reminiscing of warriors, but that's it. It's not about war or strategy or capturing locations (as far as I've seen, haven't finished the jpn game), it's pretty much like the first game but with different gameplay.
I wouldn't mind seeing P5R on Switch and PC too, though I won't hold my breath yet.

YAY! Finally!
This is pretty much the only 2021 game I'm interested in. That's...unfortunate. Hopefully the Switch version will run well, even if it is at a lower resolution.

I also want some Royal DLC - Sumi-chan, the new ultimate Personas (except for Ann's; her second one is the one with the best, least-repulsive design), and maybe Akechi too.

ARGgggg Atlus. I want to get this on PC, but I'm annoyed that I can't use my PS4 saved files to get the extra unlockable music if I buy this version. Maybe PC will get them automatically. Then again, the game already looked maxed out on a PS4 Pro. I may just get it on my PS5 and forget it. At least we're starting to get some real PC love.
