Hi. If I follow the guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup, but skip the Section VI - CTRNAND Luma3DS step, and take out my microSD card, will my console still be recognized as CFW by Nintendo (when I send it to fix / replace a part in the furture)? It is because my current console (broken due to my failed attempt to replace the circle pad) was hard modded (soldering was the only option back in the days), and now I'm strugglgng should I get a EUR one cause I live in the UK, but all the CIAs I found online are USA, which means I'll have to manually download every single update as I cannot connect to the Nintendo eShop.

EUR
-manual update for USA games
-UK Nintendo will repair it if they can't find CFW?

USA
-can update USA games directly with Nintendo's server
-UK Nintendo will not repair it, as https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Switch/Regional-Compatibility-FAQ-1506385.html stated 'No, the limited warranty is applicable only within the country/region where the console was intended to be sold.'

P.S. I was just having this question because the current Switch hacking keeps the SysNAND completely clean, which means if the hardware has any problem, I can send it to Nintendo to fix without any worries?

Thank you.

If you skip the ctrnand section the 3ds will not turn on what so ever, nintendo will easily see there is moddifications done.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you decide to hack your console, don't expect Nintendo to fix it, if it ever breaks. If you get unlucky, take it like a man!

At least one of the reasons why the 3DS cannot be kept clean unlike the Switch, is that unless you want to keep a ntrboot-flashed R4 and a magnet with you at all times, you wouldn't be able to just easily boot an EmuNAND. Switches have an external physical entrypoint, while 3DS entrypoints are generally complicated layers of software (except for ntrboot).

Yes. I'll follow the guide.
