Somehow my OG GC and Switch Pro controller have a weird problem. The right stick seems to "move" faster and with less motion to the left than to the right. The travel distance is very minimal to the left but on the right site its more "natural"

I'm trying to connect my DS4 2nd Gen to HID to VPAD, but nothing happens at all.
Does this only work when connected to specific USB ports?

I can connect fine to PC and it works as expected, but when pressing buttons while trying to assign as a pro controller, nothing happens.
Appreciate any pointers anyone can offer.

This is the expected behaviour, I’m afraid - https://github.com/Maschell/controller_patcher/wiki/5.c-Controller-|-Configurate-the-Dualshock-4-controller notes that ‘the new model of the Dualshock 4 Controller is not supported via USB. Use the Network Client.’

This is a program you run on a PC connected to the same network as the Wii U that sends input from a controller connected to it. As you’ve successfully connected the controller to your PC, you’re half way there already.

It’s the way I used to connect my Xbox Elite controller (V1, no Bluetooth) before I got a Brook converter. There is presumably a little lag, but I’ve never noticed it.

Thank you. I didn't come across that.
I did see "ds4new" and thought perhaps that meant 2nd gen.

My DS3 does seem to work, so am happy to use that for now, and will await delivery of my GC adapter ;)

Interestingly, when playing Wind Waker HD and selecting Pro Controller mode, the gamepad is still on showing inventory, and if not used for a short while, the screen on the TV and gamepad both dim, until some interaction on the gamepad.
This doesn't seem right to me? Anyone come across this in WWHD or any other game while using HID to VPAD?

Can't you assign it as the gamepad?

I have CBHC.

Can "hid to vpad" be activated automatically when the console starts?

It's kinda a drag every time i power it on to go through the same process,
or at least some super short shortcut would be apreciate.

Thanks!

-Press the Home button as the console starts to change CBHC options.
-Set autoboot to homebrew launcher.
-Put SD card into your computer. [D:\ is your SD card.]
-Backup "
D:\wiiu\apps\homebrew_launcher\" to your PC.
-Delete D":\wiiu\apps\homebrew_launcher\"
-Rename "D:\wiiu\apps\hidtovpad\" to "D:\wiiu\apps\homebrew_launcher\"
-Rename hidtovpad.elf to homebrew_launcher.elf

Still have to assign controller and apply patches though.

That's OK, as long as steps to do so is reduced...til someone finds a solution to automate it completely...if ever...

Thanks by the way!

what brand of adapter do you recommend to use gamecube controller on wiiu?

once I had bought a generic one, smash bros for wiiu worked great, but none gc game would recognize it

Wii U gamecube adapter only works with Smash IIRC.
HIDtoVPAD is the solution.
