Xbox Game Pass is getting Doom Eternal, Control, Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive, and more in December

Have there been any games that have been taken off the Game Pass service yet? Like how licensed, digital only games get de-listed, I'd imagine that games could be removed as being available via Game Pass as well.

I have Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker on Xbox One i have download from Xbox game pass, what would happen to it? Since it get removed from game pass on December 15.

As long as you have it, you keep it. If you uninstall or your system dies you lose it.

now people will see gamepass isnt just magic that last forever, and licenses expire, so mnay games will loose the licenses over the years

that is not what people say online, when a game gets removed from gamepass and you try to play it, it will ask you to buy it and wont let you play it anymore, even if its installed on console/PC.

Nope, this isn't like Xbox Games for Gold, once the game is removed from Game Pass you have to buy it to play it.

As for the new list, looking pretty nice. Nothing leaving that I really care about, and I might give DQ another playthrough at some point.

Only Microsoft titles (and maybe EA Play) are there forever and the others titles are mostly available a long time, so you have time to finish them.
Apparently there is also a discount on removed games, never seen/tried.

If it was Definitive Edition, not a waste as this sounds like the original base game. I just bought definitive edition to play on the series x whenever that upgrade comes along.

The easy answer is: as long as they are licensed to be in game pass. Just like movie/TV streaming services, Microsoft has licensing agreements with the publishers and compensates them accordingly. Some titles have been in game pass since forever, others just stuck around a few months. They usually list soon-to-be-delisted games separately in the game pass section about a month in advance, to give you a chance to play them until then.

I had gamepass since August 2019 from my knowledge games last on there for a year and then get delisted. Gamepass is decent but if you dont really play the games when they come out they may get delisted within a few months around 6 months to a year.

I'm slowly shying away from gamepass and just start buying my games outright. I did manage to get the gamepass specal for $90 a year from gamestop but I haven't activated yet until I really need to.

3 months of game pass ultimate for a $1. I think it’s for new customers. I only have pc but I think it’ll still work.
