Gaming Demons souls 1st and 2nd game disc doesn't work

HI guys, I bought Demons Souls along with 3 more ps5 game discs and Demons souls disc only install and freeze at start also shut the ps5 off. I went to the store and get an exchange and my surprise the 2nd game disc replacement has same problem.
Does anybody has the same problem?

NO, I have 3 more discs and they are working with no problems. I went to reddit and more than 85% who owns the Demon's Souls has same problems and don't matter digital or physical. I went again to the store and got another exchange( 3rd time) and game freeze at start as all of 2 disc before.

just get a refund................your not allowed to at least in the usa if that is where you are, to convert your game disk to a digital release...........................some places are but most are not setup to allow large external device downloads, you'll have to call and check, if you don't have broadband............................those ps5 games are pretty large.

also, they don't have SSD drives with the games on them you can purchase an access key to download just that one game to your PS5, MAYBE in the future.................its really not a good idea to use disk drives anymore.

you may have to return your entire PS5 console for a refund over the Demon Souls game.................if that is a major issue,...............the problem of game distribution will not be solved this game generation................you could maybe try something hand held.

A 70 Dollar Demon Souls game, cost more then a 500 GB SSD External Drive.............considering the disk drive method is no longer efficient just though i'd mention that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That doesn't sound right at all lol...I don't think the game would be receiving such high review scores if most people couldn't run it.

The issue is that this is something which is difficult to troubleshoot, as I had no problems with the disc version. Is your PS5 connected to the internet? Did you download a patch before trying to launch the game? Because I know there was at least one post-launch patch.

Thanks for reply, I did everything I could do and the game still freeze at start. Then my ps5 restarts with an strange sound sometimes. Also I do have 3 more disc and they are working with no problems.

That's really weird. Demon's Souls is the only physical PS5 disc I have right now, so unfortunately I can't compare it to anything else. I'd definitely contact Sony and/or Bluepoint about the issue, just to let them know it is an issue that exists if nothing else.

They don't care, Sony just sent me to customer support and never picked the phone up.

Yeah I meant submit it through e-mail or their website, phone services are rarely worth a damn any more and are usually automated anyway.

I did research online and a lot of people have reported same issue on this game via Reddit.

Yeah, I doubt Sony is all that active on Reddit either. You can always circumvent them by contacting Bluepoint directly, but I have no idea whether this is a hardware or software issue, so it may turn out they're powerless to fix it.

Rough. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say it has something to do with a DRM mismatch between what the game is expecting and the information that the disc drive is sending back.

There's also a new patch out just today (1.004.000), but the patch notes don't say anything about fixing a startup bug, and some people are actually reporting that it caused them same problem you're having, when they weren't having the issue before. Fingers crossed I can still play after I install it...I really love this game. I'll be sure to let you know one way or the other.

EDIT: Yeah still boots up fine for me. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
